This was not what I was expecting. I have driven past this place for years and always wondered what it was like. Tonight I went in for the Wednesday night special, Pan Fried Chicken with two sides. They had all the sides you would expect in a southern style home cooking place; baked apples, fried okra, mash potatoes, macaroni & cheese, creamed corn, and etc. I went with the baked apples and fried okra and they were delicious. The Pan Fired Chicken was moist, lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. We splurged and got cake for desert and tired both the German Chocolate Cake and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. The price made all this even better. Dinner for two was $17.00. I wish I would have found this place sooner. I will be going back.

After three seasons of serving some of the best food Ashe County has ever known (outside our Mamas' and Grandmas' houses), the team of chefs that re-launched the historic Park Vista Restaurant and operated it through the 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons, are parting ways with the property owners. They are leaving big shoes to fill, both at this restaurant and with the local, regional and traveling "foodies" who have come to love PV's focus on quality local and seasonal ingredients.
It seems likely that another team will bring their own concept to this cozy dining spot; we can only hope they are as dedicated to serving quality food, as the outgoing team has been.

Our family of 4, including 2 kids ages 7 &5, ate lunch here on a busy Saturday. The wait staff got to us right away with no wait. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and prompt with attention. Our lunches were simple, but delicious, and very affordable. My kids both loved their cookies & my husband swooned over the cherry/cream cheese dessert. Wonderful little shop!!

I ordered my usual cheese and mushroom pizza..lite on sauce and extra muchrooms!!!! Never a let down..food was delicious..oh yeah I can't forget my tiramisu. ..when you want the best pizza, calzones, wings ,desserts and so much more stop at Bobby D's you won't be disappointed! !!

New location in Glendale Springs, just off NC16 across from Church of the Frescoes and next to Greenhouse Gift Shop. Open early seven days. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Great service with fine food. Strawberry Waffles were featured this morning. Good grill.

For indoor dining, The Hotel Tavern has a bar side with some dining tables and a separate side with dining tables for a more private dinner - both would be pleasant experiences. They also have outdoor dining seating. My wife and I were celebrating her birthday so sate on the more private dinner side. The waiter was quick, knowledgeable and friendly and the food and service were excellent. We split the pot stickers and a pork tenderloin dinner as enjoyed some local brewed beers. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We went with a group of co workers here for lunch. We all got different menu items. It was very mediocre. It's just like a "fancy diner". In other words it doesn't look like a diner inside or out but has diner food. We did not have any of the alcohol. I frequent West Jefferson and I will not be visiting Boondocks again. It is a waste of money.

Been here several times and the food is always very good! The cafeteria style ordering is very efficient and the dining area is always clean. Very nice owner! Highly recommend this place!
