Fillmore is a city in Ventura County, California, United States in the Santa Clara River Valley. In an agricultural area with rich, fertile soil, Fillmore has a historic downtown that was established when the Southern Pacific built the railroad through the valley in 1887. The rail line also provided a name for the town: J. A. Fillmore was a general superintendent for the company's Pacific system. The population was 15,002 at the 2010 census, up from 13,643 at the 2000 census.

We stopped by Fillmore on our way, after half an hour of searching for a good restaurant, we saw this place to have great reviews, true to what was previously posted, their service was wonderful, a typical Mexican style ambience, family owned and fresh seafood. They have so much variety of tequila for you to choose from. The owner Chuy personally welcomes each guest, and thank them as they leave. Their fried whole fish with garlic is highly recommended!! I'd give them a perfect 10!!!!

This is a family-owned business and as customers we were treated like family. The tea is top-notch and the curry sandwich everyone raves about was delicious and ample enough for two. The fresh fruit was delicious as were the scones. I am telling my friends about it and plan to make another trip up to share this special spot with them. Highly recommended.

Thank you for the delicious Christmas tamales! Very delicious, made the entire family happy! It's pretty crazy in there for Christmas eve pickup but their system works well and the wait wasn't too bad.

Don't let the curb appeal fool you. Pass through Fillmore often, have always stopped at IHOP for our meal. Decided to change it up and chose Yanni's.Walk up and order but food is brought to table if eating in. Ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Salad -BIG, lots of chicken and flavor was fresh. Husband had a burger said it was good. Going back home we stopped for breakfast. Service was prompt and friendly.

where there is a Starbucks i stop for my freshly brewed regular coffee and some pastry or sandwich to go with it, and the one in central Fillmore is no exception.. located near the intersection of highway 23 and 126 you can't miss it...

Great local place and nice for people passing thru from The 5 to 101 on 126 to Ventura. Fresh everyday assortments Doughtnuts . Man and family think are from Loas and very cheerful . They run out before noon . Nice family values with networking with Fillmore High. Very fresh. Nice to all patrons. Cash only though.

Crowded, noisy place with a lot of regular customers -- a good vibe for a lively dinner of Mexican food. Waiter friendly and service prompt. Only thing missing was some really tasty food. Chili verde was bland, as was the adovada [their spelling]. Not bad, just nothing to get excited about. We used to live in this area and return periodically looking for the memory of that great comida mexicana of the past. Still looking.

We stopped here for lunch, but had breakfast instead! The food was good. The service was good and the food arrived very quickly. The restaurant was very quiet (only 3 tables, including ours) which could be a good or bad sign. Everything seemed fine to us. No problems.

I barbecue food and enjoy trying barbecue restaurants. This one grills its foods, but they're OK and relatively cheap. But they lack healthy sides, except for their beans.

We stopped here on our way home from LA because there were so many cars there, we thought it must be good. It is fabulous! Authentic Mexican food, big portions, good prices. You order at the counter and eat with plastic and paper. Family owned, clean, friendly. The chili relleno burrito was amazing. They will substitute whole boiled beans in place of refried, if you ask. Everyone in my party raved about the food. I am now thinking of reasons why I need to drive through Fillmore....
