Nice local food, friendly staff, good selection of wines. As an addition very cozy and with a nice touch. Price range in the evening is o.k.; somewhere between mid-range and fine dining experience. Certainly a place to revisit next time being in Lausanne.

Small menu focusing on salads and fresh vegetables but overall the meal we enjoyed was quite average. The starters were OK but the steak was somewhat tough with some stringy bits - not what we were expecting. The tarte tatin to finish the meal was OK but to be truthful nothing special. The restaurant was quite busy so obviously some clients were happy with the food. The level of service was fine but I doubt very much if we will be returning. Pricing is pretty fair but the steak was overpriced based on its quality and it was apparently sourced in South America. OK to summarise but really nothing special.

Anne-Sophie Pic au Beau-Rivage Palace

The Beau-Rivage Palace has placed Anne-Sophie Pic at the helm of the kitchens of its fine-dining restaurant. While continuing to preside over her restaurant in Valence (France), the three star Michelin chef has entrusted the realisation of her creations to Kevin Gatin. The restaurant has been awarded two stars in the Michelin guide and 18/20 in the Gault Millau.

Along with my partner we decided to try out our first 2-star Michelin restaurant in Switzerland for celebrating our first year together and couldn't be more satisfied of that choice.
We both had the 'Emotion' menus but of different kinds (Turbot and the other which unfortunately I don't recall the name... ).
The main surprise for me was the full table of fresh and aged cheeses. The staff did a fine job of explaining in which order they should be served and briefly describing the flavor of each.
To conclude this (very) short review, we were very impressed by the service, food and location. Certainly worth going back.

I recently booked this 1 start Michelin restaurant for a group of 9 and for a business dinner, using the online booking system. They came back rapidly in few hours offering two choices of group menus, we chose the signature menu (slightly less than CHF200 for a 5 dish menu). The choice for vegetarians and any specific requirements could be announced at the table, which is a big advantage when you book your table for a group.
I had a great feedback from our guest on both service and food. Definitely, the service is in line with the ranking of the hotel in which this restaurant is attached to.

This is a lovely little place with excellent food. Nice atmosphere with very friendly service. I had sea bass, which was delicious, the trio of puddings is superb, and the cheese lovely too. Local white wine was very nice, the only downside being the price (over 40 swiss francs for the house wine, which I thought was a bit steep).

Ristorante St Paul

Two couples, including one Italian (handy for translations!) and three Brits - Saturday evening meal - superb atmosphere, superb food and wine.
It's a warm, comfortable place with the most friendly, informative, helpful and talkative (in Italian) waiter and wine waiter. There's a noticeable Italian atmosphere and a passion for quality food. The size of some of the steaks on nearby tables had to be seen to be believed!
Minor grumblets - the service was initially a little slow and we found parking impossible until one of our party nipped into the restaurant, as we drove round, and came back with an easy solution - the private parking space of another business that wasn't open in the evening....easy, and within 70 metres!
It's obviously a very popular place and was still lively and noisy at 11pm when we left. It's not cheap - in fact it's comfortably expensive but in line with the quality of the menu. One recommendation - reserve a table.

At the Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne

We went for the 'menu dégustation', it provides a quite complete overview of what the team in the kitchen is working on and also recommends. Great quality with sometimes somewhat surprising / daring combinations, as for instance with the white asparagus and morels. The service is mostly provided by students of the EHL school. They try very hard with great charm and sometimes make eminently forgivable mistakes. Their tutors take such occurrences very seriously and act on them immediately: while feeling a bit sorry for the 'offender', you also really feel a part of the learning process...
The 'carte des vins' is quite France-centric, but disappointingly light on wines from other regions.

Have decided last night to have dinner out and chose this place from TripAdvisor.
Must admit we have chosen it based on ratings and the owners name. Romanian!!!
We were looking forward to seeing what Romanians can do and be proud!
Couldn't have been prouder!
The food is amazing! Best I had in a long time in Lausanne. Service was nice and very personal. Even though we speak French she has explained the menu in Romanian. We found that super nice!
The place is super small and looked like all the people there were very loyal customers. They looked like they all knew each other.
Definetely coming back again!

Many Swiss towns and villages have "Auberges Communales" and to be frank until one arrives at the restaurant one is never sure what one will get - in this case the cuisine is absolutely top-notch. The menu was very diverse and there was something for all tastes on it. The Pheasant/Pistachio Terrine was superb. The plat du jour - thin slices of duck breast in a marvellous orange sauce with tiny potatoes and vegetables - was not only delicious but at 18frs superb value for money.
As we left we met the chef and his wife. What lovely people! There is no doubt we will be back - and soon! Perfect place for lunch or dinner between Lausanne and Vevey and no problem with parking either.

This restaurant is a secret worth sharing.
Delicious Sicilian dishes from starters to Deserts. Fish is the speciality but pasta is excellent too.
Very careful, dedicated and caring service from the owner. The homemade Limoncello was offered.
What a great surprise.
The wine list could be improved.
Will go back again soon!
