Have been to this place several times over the years...was never impressed. Decided to give it another try...what a mistake. They open at 5pm on Saturday...We arrived at 5:30pm...put our orders in at 5:45pm and they were completely out of lasagna. How exactly does an italian restaurant run out of lasagna? They do not make their noodles from scratch so flour was not an issue. Were they short on cheese? What about the boxed noodles they buy from the grocery store...were they out of those? Running low on ground beef? I can understand running out of certain types of fish...that makes sense...but lasagna!! Its a saturday...saturdays are busy days for people going out to eat...prepare yourselves next time.

Free garlic bread. Its disgusting. Again...its not made in house...at least I hope not. No one would continually make something from scratch that tastes like that. Again its just store bought italian bread sliced and sprinkled with butter and garlic. Unless you dunk it in pasta sauce its not good.

Side salad. You pay extra for this...no problem. Make sure you ask for the dressing on the side. If not your salad will come drown in dressing.

Cups of water. You need to replace those tiny glasses with larger ones. They are nice enough to have someone come around and constantly fill glasses...thats usually a good thing...never run out of water right? Well its also a major pain. The person they have filling the water doesnt know when its appropriate to fill a glass. If you take two sips of water she will stop by and fill it. You have to lean out of the way so she can grab your glass, meal is interrupted a dozen times just from the water filling person. If your cup is 3/4 full it will get filled. They need to train this person not to fill it until its down to a 1/4 if not empty. My glass was filled around 12 times when it only needed to be filled 3 times at most. It got to the point where I just stopped drinking just to avoid this person.

Prices. Like I said ive been here several times with friends and family...and never understood how they price things. One of the dishes our table ordered was a red snapper with pasta. It was a simple fillet of fish smothered in blackening season with pasta on the side and it cost $30.

The only reason this place survives is that there isnt any other restaurants around it. People in the area are convinced that because the prices are high its a fancy place and the food is just better.

The $150 I dropped for 5 people was simply a reminder never to come here again. I have no issues spending money if the food is good but when you serve mediocre food thats no bueno. To anyone else that has/had an experience like me consider it a cheap lesson learned.

Note: I will say that all of the waitresses/servers are really good. I give them props. Most of them have been there for a long time. They are all faced pace, they know the menu top to bottom and I didnt feel rushed one single time. I was more than happy to tip them well even though the food was terrible. They cant control what happens in that kitchen.

Burger and hotdogs only!

Reviewed By Jim G

The hype about Coney Island does not live up to its standards here. Me and my girlfriend got 2 hotdogs and 2 hamburgers our bill was $20 and some change. The food had no distinct flavor expect from the piled high onions and horrid smell of the "Coney " sauce. Our service was speedy and so was our exit and if I step foot in that place again in 20 years it's 20 years to soon.

Old Forge Brewing Company

FORGED BY HAND. CRAFTED WITH PRIDE. We opened our doors in 2008 with a few goals in mind: - to make the best beer and food possible - to utilize local business, artisans, farmers, and craftsmen whenever possible - to never sacrifice quality for growth Despite the challenges and obstacles along the way, we’ve done a pretty good job sticking to those principles. Going local isn’t always easy, but it’s worth the extra time, money, and effort. It’s better for the community, the local economy, and in the end, all of us. Doing things the right way, rather than the quick way, or cheaper way, is how we operate. It’s real. It’s authentic. It’s Old Forge Brewing Company. When you crack open a can of fresh Old Forge beer or sit at our locally made 500 year old oak bar top, be assured you are in the midst of an authentic American craft beer experience.

Enjoyable meal. Really cute interior and comfortable eating stations where you could hear one another. Chicken salad sandwiches were delicious. Loved that it was not smothered in a lot of mayonnaise allowing for flavors to emerge. Chicken breast sandwich was good as well. For sandwiches are served with tortilla chips. Treated ourselves to Hey Fresh Hartsell. The only thing we did not care for was the beer cheese dip include it with the tortillas. Great service, very attentive waitress. A solid contender you should conwider

First visit, probably won't go again. The only positive thing I can say is they do give a decent amount of food and it is normal restaurant prices, not typical park prices. Salad is weak, mashed potatoes dried out and need lots of gravy, guess that is why they give you a lot of gravy to pour on. Roast beef is so dried out you can't eat it, stuffed flounder is floating in butter, way too much. Service was kids and actually was not that bad. Whoever is cooking needs to be replaced and it would be a big improvement.

The friendly staff made me an excellent latte! This was my first visit and won't be my last. My iced latte had great flavor and was really smooth, no bitterness. I'm excited to stop by again and try one of their light lunch offerings. The facility is bright and clean. Prices are reasonable for the quality of coffee.

Stopped for buffet dinner but selection was briefly lacking. May be it was our timing as the food was very good as was staff. Courteous and efficient. Establishment is clean. Seating was SRO when we got there so waited a few minutes for clean table. Some items on the menu high in price but servings are large. Parking OK even when crowded. Will certainly stop again when I'm in the area. Family owned business I believe. Nice dining experience. Mid range to fine dining I'd say, never had an early meal there so cannot speak on it.

Pine Barn Inn

I attended a conference at Geisinger and the Pine Barn was the most convenient choice as it is situated right across the campus. I had a room that was facing the parking lot on the first floor and I was worried that all the sounds would disturb my sleep. Fortunately, the other guests were not rowdy so I had pretty good night's sleep.
It also got freezing cold during the days that I was at Danville, but the heater worked great and there was always complimentary hot water and hot coffee in the hotel, which is definitely a plus.
The room was adequate for a single person, and bed was comfortable. The only thing that could be improved is probably the bathroom structure. The sink was situated outside of the bathroom (literally inside the room beside your closet), and I found it to be pretty weird and inconvenient. However, given that it is an older hotel, it's probably difficult for a change.
All in all, it's convenient if you are going to nearby places such as Geisinger.

First we waited 30 min to ask us what we wanted..Then another 40 to get food. We told waitress my husband was allergic to onions and he wanted no onions....She mentions nothing about it being cooked in maraniara sauce. When it was served ,40 min later...He saw the sauce and said I can't eat this. She rudely said well that's how it comes..He said no to fixing it cause he did not want to wait another 40 min..She was like fine turned around and stomped off..I complained and she was like I'm still billing you for that ...
Management was just as rude..Never again

We were strangers to the area and were looking for a good place for lunch. We found it on the internet and stopped in because it was very convenient. The waitress was very friendly. The service was good. We both had Reuben sandwiches with fries. They were both very good.
