We bumped into this restaurant during an afternoon stroll in Oberstdorf, quickly checked Tripadvisor and based on the positive feedback decided to go for lunch here. We were welcomed in the most friendly was and checked if they would be able to serve one vegan meal as well, no problem! The kids got their stuffies to do some drawings, we always enjoy that as well. The (beautiful) hostess, who runs the restaurant with her husband who's the chef, had inquired in the kitchen what was possible and suggested a pasta dish with veggies as a vegan option. I always agree with suggestion but obviously this can go many ways but it was delicious! The others also got generous dishes that were equally enjoyed. The combination of great food and super service always works for me, combined with the traditional Bavarian inside of the place makes this one a winner for me.

This place is run by a couple driven by service and quality. As a result, no bad surprises, and, in general, a well-balanced meal menu with a wide choice.
It is clear that the wonders have seen more of the world, and have learnt how to cook in it.

We went for the 11. time (summer and wintertime),consumed a lot of times in our earlier holidays, and came this time from the Sunnalm. We had just eaten and drink before the hut because we didn't know how far it was. Then we came closer and saw the hut, so we decided not to stop for eating and drinking, and just stopover for a stamp of the mountainhut. I 'd better not stopped because the staff was very unpolite and said in German about must have to consume,drink something, if not not welcome!!
Well, Bye Bye the Tiroler gastfreiheit.... It's only about the money, shame on you staff !!
Never again, there are a lot of huts and alms with friendly staff, also if you just come passing.

We went there looking for a satisfying dinner as we were hungry from skiing. The place looked great, the service was excellent and the food was amazing. They gave us tips on finding some local party, not that there was any, not their fault.
Totally worth it.

We went here very morning during our short stay in Holzgau to pick up some breakfast for our hikes.
Very unfortunately, they did not offer any ready to go sandwiches, which would have been perfect. However the sweets they had (expecially the croissant filled with hazelnut stuffing) were really tasty and not too expensive

A beautiful valley and a great place to stop for a coffee or cold drink and a piece of homemade cake. The owner had time for a chat and was helpful with tips for around the area.Thank you very much ?

What a lovely find! Very friendly staff, efficient, clean. Very large room with bath and shower and fabulous views of the Tirol Mountains with balcony and patio furniture, all for E75 bed and breakfast. Fantastic breakfast served with a smile. Limited traditional bar meal which suited us fine. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Bergen, wie Geierwally, Schwabenkinder aber auch Musikstücke, sehr beliebt
und schnell ausgebucht ist.
