Best breakfast I have had in some time. Price is right and staff was great. A fantastic local find. Traditional selections in a cozy setting. A real El Monte, Ca find

My husband and I loved every bite of the fabulously flavored dinners that we enjoyed at this friendly restaurant. It was by far the most authentic Mexican cuisine that we have ever experienced outside of Mexico. I ordered birria La Barca, a delectably prepared goat in mole. It was so good that I was so busy eating that I rarely paused to converse. As my husband would attest, that is most unusual for an engaged talker like me! My husband equally applauded his molcajete. It was a pot of well-seasoned chicken breast and carne asada with chorizo, salsa and yummy cheese. My husband likes it spicy and that's exactly what he got. Since our food was spicier than we expected, we should have had ordered beer to accompany our meals. It perhaps depends upon the day and time that folks arrive, but my husband and I arrived at about 4:30 pm on a Wednesday and we were seated immediately. Service was fast. What we enjoyed most about our dining experience is that it was really unique and delivered special flavors. Prices were reasonable for what we received. Street parking is available but we parked in the large, free parking lot behind the restaurant. Although we live about 40 minutes from this restaurant, we are already planning our return visit.

They sell almost everything you'll be suprised when you step in. C: Chips, ice cream, water, frozen yogurt, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, boba, all kinds of bobas, fruit, sandwiches, slushys, fruit juice, coffee, hot chocolate, medicine, lottery tickets, candy, cookies, bread, soda, Gatorade, Arizona, rockstar, red bull, water gallons, etc. Trust me you will love this place and the employees always make fun conversations with you and they are always being friendly.

Annia's is inside the San Gabriel Valley Airport (aka El Monte Airport). Been coming for years. Good service, family atmosphere, good food. Come with friends and have bites of each others food, everything is delicious. Must tries are Huevos rancheros, Chile verde, Biscuits and gravy w country potatoes, and perfectly cooked, crispy bacon.

Looking for a quick place to get a good cup of coffee, we drove by this donut shop on the corner of Valley Blvd and Shirley St in El Monte. We stopped and the donuts in their window looked really good. We found out that they don't take ATM cards (cash only), so we found a bank and went back to Mitchell's. The Asian lady at the window didn't speak English so we couldn't understand her and I don't think she understood us but we got two coffees, which were drinkable but nothing special. The coffee tasted like it had been sitting on the hot plate for awhile. The window was pretty full of yummy looking donuts which were large and fluffy. We got a bear claw and an apple fritter. They were both delicious. We didn't see any pricing but were satisfied when she rang us up. We will stop again the next time we are in the area. Good donut shops are getting harder and harder to find.

I went to have lunch with my family and enjoyed this place. The entire lunch buffet has a great variety of different foods as well as fruits and desserts. If you are looking for a place to have a good meal and is family friendly, I would recommend you give this place a try.

Yep, this place has the best Jolly Jug pastrami dip we have ever had. Its amazing! What is further amazing, they have been making good pastrami sandwiches for decades.
I grew up enjoying them and they still make them good today.
Today we lucked out - they had a daily special of pastrami sandwich, french fries, and pickle for under $9.00. Service is very good here.
The only difference from when I enjoyed it as a child to today, is that today I got a fortune cookie and almond cookie complementary at the end. It brought a smile to my face,.
The other nice thing is that there were other people there who had been there when they were younger too and were bringing their grand child to enjoy.
Thanks Jolly Jug - and if you like pastrami dip, just go. Its so good.

Nearly hidden by the convenience store on the corner, this wonderful, small cafe has been opened by a husband and wife team. The husband is Chef here and what a talented one he is, with his expertise and care evident in every dish he makes. We have been here at least 4 times now - and everything we ordered was wonderful. My personal favorites are the Ravioli with Cheese and the Pork Chop. My friends swear by his Marguerita Pizza and the fish. If front parking is full, there is parking in the rear.

Authentic cuisine is the name of the game here. And personalized service to order.
Don't see precisely what you want on the extensive menu backed up by all the pictures on the walls? Ask!
The lobster was superb, but the best was a dish of just a variety of mushrooms made to order.
And fast, too!
Didn't care too much for the desserts, though.

I have grown to love Pho and this restaurant in Rowland Heights didn't disappoint.
One thing I really enjoyed about this restaurant was the friendly service. The server told us all about pho and how it should be prepared. She said a good pho broth is only beef and it should simmer for 12+ hours, which this restaurant did.
The broth was delicious and really did stand out above others. I had the filet mignon pho. It was good with fresh ingredients.
I would probably skip the egg rolls and stick wit the pho.
Check this place out!
