We have been here a few times. They have really good made to order sandwiches. The Turkey sandwich is our favorite. The sandwiches are made on fresh bread that they make. They also have homemade soup. We loved the cherry/cranberry bread loaf we bought to take home.

Went here for dinner before going to the Peninsula Players. It was so nice out tonight that we ate outside, but the interior is nice too.
Scott was our server, and was the best we've had this whole trip, and in the recent past.
We started with the olives. My wife had the white sangria while I had the red. Both were terrific. We each had the beet salad, which was outstanding. I ordered the patatas bravas. They were so good, but my wife kept snitching them... She also had the farro salad, which was also delicious.
For dessert, I lost the battle between the chocolate bomba and the lemon olive oil cake, which was also terrific.
Don't miss Parador! If you're in the area!

You know you're in for a great experience when the owner comes out to help the directionally challenged customer find the place they are looking for!
Our first stop of our "Coffee Shops of Door County Tour" and definitely set the bar high! This husband and wife team creates an environment that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door ~ and you definitely don't leave as a stranger.
As a chai tea drinker I loved the assortment of teas available...doesn't always happen. Smoothies are delicious also!
Amazing atmosphere ~ great customer service ~ yummy treats!

Grumpy's is closed for the season! Thanks for a another great year. We will be open again in early April 2018!! Grumpy's is a great stop in downtown Egg Harbor, next to Casey's BBQ. We serve Wisconsin made Cedar Crest Ice Cream, draft root beer, homemade gourmet popcorn!

Loved this place!!! I will say it, yes, this place was expensive, but so so worth it! I purchased two types of popcorn, both were excellent! My husband and I also both got double scoop waffle cones after trying a few samples. The service was beyond excellent, very friendly and helpful and the ice cream was beyond delicious. A little expensive...but 2 scoops on a cone was filling enough to count as lunch so it actually was very reasonably priced! I will for sure come back here again and again!

There isn't much open in northern Door County in January. Thank goodness The Village Cafe is one place that is. We stopped for lunch after driving the length of Highway 42 and finding almost nothing (and we almost went past; had to turn around and go back to make sure it indeed was open). Karla the waitress was funny and friendly. The food - a chcken cherry pecan wrap and a grilled chicken salad on a tortilla - was delicious and satisfying. The atmosphere was old school diner. And the price was right. We may have to go back for breakfast to have the cherry pancakes. Fellow diners were raving about them when we were there.

We simply wanted a loaf of bread! When I asked if the loaves on the shelf were fresh baked that day, I was told they were all baked earlier, frozen, and then taken out of the freezer to be sold. Not good. But then I was told they actually had fresh bread that had recently come out of the oven. I purchased a loaf. When we started to eat it a bit later, we noticed there were pieces of burned onion attached to the outside of our loaf of whole wheat bread. The bread smelled like onion. It looks like they had not cleaned the loaf pans from a previous bake of onion bread and laid the wheat bread into the same pans. Bottom line: we will never return.

My husband and I decided to have dinner here on Saturday night as a last-minute decision. We were staying in Egg Harbor and were too tired to drive to the surrounding areas. We got in very quickly and seated. There were a lot of choices on the menu from very casual to a really nice steak dinner. The service was great and they were very attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely fantastic! I would definitely go there again when I am in Door County!
