Stopped in for dinner. Our drink order was taken promptly and chips and salsa were also provided quickly. The menu was quite extensive. I ordered the #14 combination which contained more beef than I typically get in Mexican food. The margaritas were large and very tasty. I certainly recommend this place.

This Dairy Queen location is one of the best I have every been to! Their new "grill and chill" restaraunt is wonderful! Their freezers are fully stocked with novelties, cakes, decorations ect. The food is just as it is pictured in their commercials, hot and fresh! Their ice cream is so yummy with plenty of toppings.

This is a super place for families to go!

NOTE: They really need to UPDATE their PICTURE as that is not how it looks today.

My husband and I got lattes and they were both extremely sugary. So much so that you couldn't taste any coffee at all. The staff was very nice though and the decor was cozy. If I went back I'd probably just try an americano since the syrups were so strong

Have lived in Jackson, Tn for 2 years now and just tried this place. It was wonderful. The place was very busy which is a great sign of things to come. The main buffets and salad bar are just excellent. They keep the food coming out at a fast pace. Always very fresh. The buffet was $7.99 which we thought was a great deal. I believe they have a lunch buffet for $6.99 like 11am to 3pm. We will be back. Actually you order off of a menu if you so choose.

Lupo's Italian Restaurante

Reviewed By SueSue783 - Delaware, Ohio

My husband and I and several family members went to Luop’s for a family reunion dinner. This was my first time there and I was very excited because of all the excellent reviews and because I LOVE Italian food. One of my favorite Italian dishes is Chicken Parm so that is what I ordered. My husband got spaghetti and several other people ordered steaks. The Cheese Bread appetizer looked good. I did not have any , but those who did liked it.
When my Chicken Parm arrived it looked like it had been under the heat lamp for hours. Some of the cheese was burnt and WHERE was the Angel Hair Pasta that was to go with it? The pasta was ON TOP of the chicken, then the “melted” cheese.
Well, that was a different presentation! Everyone at the table just looked at it and then at me. I didn’t say anything...then!When I cut into the chicken I had to use a “sawing” motion. Because it was so dry.
I NEVER complain about food and I don’t think I’ve EVER sent food back, but this time I did. Our server was apologetic and offered to make me another. I declined because it was getting late. I just ate some of my husband’s spaghetti. Our server did remove the Chicken Parm off our tab.
The steaks that were served looked good, but they were cooked more than what was ordered which didn’t make people happy especially for the price that is charged.
Maybe it was just a bad night for Lupo’s.

Cracker Barrel

Reviewed By NewToChicago - Nashville, Tennessee

I have to rate based on service because after 45 minutes, I never did receive any food. It took 15 minutes to get a drink. The server never at any time offered a second drink or indicated when the food might be coming. As we waited, we noticed server casually sweeping the restaurant, not checking on our order, deliberately avoiding our table. I felt very sorry for the older people waiting on their food. I thought this was maybe a special lunch out for them, and this was no way to be treated. We left when it was obvious that the server had a focus on sweeping slowly. We did leave $5 to cover the drinks, no doubt the server saw that.

Alvino Pizza

Reviewed By Reni B

Hubby and I tried Alvino's for the first time Friday night. Better than average pizza— probably best pizza in Dyersburg as the rest are chains. The seasoning and crust are excellent— I'd guess a secret family recipe.

Contrary to what other reviews have said, this is NOT Chicago-style deep dish pizza, which is more like a pizza pie with two layers of crust and the cheese inside and sauce on top. This is a traditional pizza, but the flavor is just as wonderful as a Chicago style— you're just not getting the same consistency.

The atmosphere is basically a hole in the wall. We thought that surely they could afford some better tables— which are basically the 6' fiberglass ones you get from Sam's or Walmart.

Cold canned sodas, and an array of salads and sandwiches that our friendly waitress assured us were really good.

We'll go again. Not for the atmosphere bit for the pizza. And based on it, I'm eager to try a sandwich or a gyro.

Homemade fried pies may happen when you are there. Chicken Monterey, Shrimp and grits, great sandwiches and salads topped with the meat of your choice. Good value for dollar, excellent food.
