Four of us had eight flavours and each found them simply the best. The variety is excellent. The size of portion especially for the price is very welcome especially from a family visit perspective. There is strong competition around the area but I would reccomend...MoreIce cream making is how we started at Drummuir and continues to be our "main event",so we're delighted to hear your party all enjoyed their ice creams. Thank you for your review and I hope we see you again to try some different flavours.

Kitty's Tearoom

The history surrounding Kitty's has made it unique, being set in a Victorian house, built by a retired sea captain circa 1840. The Captain commisioned local carpenters to put in place the wonderful panelled ceiling, removed from a ship which was broken up in nearby Palnackie Harbour. The origional panneled ceiling and walls, still survive to this day and I'm sure you'll agree the workmanship was second to none. Kitty is privilaged to own and run this small family buisness in such beautiful surroundings. And looks forward to welcoming you. OPEN SEVEN DAYS A WEEK FROM EASTER WEEKEND TO BEGINING OF NOVEMBER.

Found Kitty's while cruising New Galloway. It was like stepping back in time. Lovely collection of Edwardian/Victorian furniture, cakes and other foods, crockery and teas all beautifully displayed, with a friendly welcome and service. What a joy!
Good choice of teas and wonderful cakes (I think we shared a sponge and a scone). Wish I'd been hungrier. Madame got quite nostalgic. Tea served in pots with a strainer. (When did that last happen?)
Quaint and wonderful. Why isn't there one nearer to us?
Just go.

Booked a table for three adults and a child, my son being 18 months old. Went straight through to our table upon arrival which was great. Didn't have to wait long to be served our drinks or the menu. Apart from it took them a long time to bring us my sins drink. Food ordered and arrived very quickly which was great.
The only downside was it felt like we where a nuisance. We where sat in the corner out of the way. We were not checked on once our food arrived. Staff where very unfriendly and we felt very alienated. When we'd finished we waited for our table to be cleared but no one came. We left to pay the bill, there was no goodbye or thank you for going etc. Not happy at all.

Visited due to good reviews and I would gladly return.
The sheek kebab were good, 3 decent sized pieces which unusually were made with minced meat and mixed chicken. A bit more sauce would have been nice though. For main I had butter chicken. At 1st I wasn’t too sure about it but as I ate more it seemed to get better. It was quite peppery and a slightly nutty flavour with of good pieces of chicken tikka . Pilau rice was also good, the keema naan was a bit greasy and a couple of iffy bits of meat but ok.

Not having been here before we thought we would give it a try. The food was okay although I didn’t like the tasteless matchstick chips that came with my macaroni. Searching through the sugar holder we could only find Demerara sugar or sweeteners. I asked if there was any white sugar and the young gentleman said they were short of white sugar but would look for some and how many would we like, I replied 2 each and he came back with 4, we didn’t stay for a second cup☹️
