Place was hopping Sunday Father's Day. We managed to get in before the lineups started at 10:30.
Fresh hot coffee straight away & friendly staff always making the rounds to see if you need more coffee or anything!
We had the corned beef hash & the Bavarian sausage meals. Everything was cooked nicely & the portion was enough to fill.
So glad we found this little gem on our motorcycle ride from BC.

North Fork Brewery

The North Fork Brewery Our pub features hand-crafted beers, barleywines, and of course, our wonderful pizza! A visit to our humble shrine is just the ticket to round out your visit to the Mt. Baker Recreation or Ski Areas. Our pub is just a short drive from Bellingham on Scenic Mt. Baker Highway 542. Whether snowboarding, skiing, eagle watching, hiking or sightseeing, we're a quick jog from the Canadian Border and a not-so-quick, yet scenic pilgrimage from Seattle. Find out for yourself why our restaurant has been selected "Editors Choice" in Best Places ™ Northwest. Our brewery produces beer in the time-honored, time-intensive style of British Ales. Our small batches (109 gallons) are hand transferred from fermentation to conditioning and on to serving tanks where they are served directly to our tap room, ensuring a fresh pint every pint. As improbable as it seems, we also perform weddings and holy unions, but don't expect the typical alter and arbor, this is a beer shrine and all places are sacred. The North Fork is a casual, comfortable place to enjoy a pint, pizza or the company of friends and family. Our rustic atmosphere and friendly service will convert you to the growing thousands of North Fork regulars.

We just stepped in without any high expectations as we were dead tired after driving all the way from Seattle and very hungry . When we entered we realized time had stopped and it was like a retro pub with neatly laid out tables a very good bar counter and showcase filled with empty bottles of all beers of USA. The pizzas we ordered both veg were not only freshly baked with the dough shaped in front of us but topped with the cheeses and veggies and served by a smiling staff. Really good place and the beers specially the house brands are really tasty and uniquely flavored . Not an expensive joint but a good family place to chill and dine.

My son took us here with his daughters. The pies are very good. Unfortunately you can't eat them in your hand as the pastry is "crumbly". This being the main difference between them and a "Cornish Pasty".
The taste is great and reminds me of our holidays in St. Ives!!
If I lived in the area this would be a regular hopping off spot.

Three Flavors Kitchen

Four of us had dinner here on a Friday around 6 PM. Menu is incredibly varied with Asian, Italian, Mexican, and American cuisine: everything from Kung Pao to Tamales Plate to Pasta to Burgers and Steaks. AND you can order off the extensive breakfast menu too (breakfast served all the time). Friday is the night of specials, so 3 of us opted for the Prime Rib dinner; 2 with mashed potatoes and 1 with baked potato. Meat Serving was gigantic, flavorful, and seasoned well. Potatoes delcious and came with all of the fixings. Was worth the $20 per plate. The 4th member of our party ordered a Hawaiian Burger ($14) which came out at half a pound, with generous portions of tomato, lettuce, large bun and enough homemade fries (deliciously seasoned with rosemary, garlic, salt, and pepper) to feed everyone at the table. Also ordered an appetizer of Pico de Gallo (homemade and mouthwatering) served with homemade torilla chips. We were too full for desert: chocolate mousse, tiramisu, chocolate cake ... You'd think with so many different plates, the food would be lacking something, but it is not. We were all very pleased with our meals and plan to return soon; maybe breakfast for lunch.

Rifugio's Country Italian Cuisine

We ran across this great little Italian café on our trip around the Mt. Baker area. I had seen the write up for in in Bellingham Alive!, and decided to stop there during our exploration. After driving up the mountain part way, as well as getting out to walk a little and take photos, we were starving. We passed by several places so we could try Rifugio's, and we are happy we did!

The squid with potato cake was delicious! Lightly sautéed, un-breaded squid atop a delicious pan-fried potato cake. Spicey red sauce and some Kalamata olives completed the dish. Easily one of the best meals I have had since arriving in Washington.

My husband asked for Italian ham on his grilled cheese - no problem! Salads were fresh and delicious.

Nice, friendly people, casual atmosphere, and great food! We will be back.

Open Thurs - Sunday, 10am to 8pm. Seasonal dishes.

The Road House Bar and Grille

This place just opened so we made the drive to check it out. It's a bright, friendly bar/restaurant with great food and a personable staff. Tom had the Cubana - which he says was a "fantastic sandwich" with shredded pork and ham. I had the taco salad and was very happy with it. However, the lemon drop martini made with muddled lemon was so good I tried to recreate it at home the next day. It just wasn't the same. Guess we'll have to go back! Actually, we're eyeing the Eggs Benedict on the breakfast menu for our next visit.

It's subway, it's about location with this one! Don't mind that it's sandwiched between the grave yard and the messy welding shop. If you break a tooth, the dentist is across the street.

This is a gas station/small grocery with an excellent deli/sandwich shoppe. The menu is limited but offers gluten free bread for an extra $1. There is seating inside the store and a lot more outside for nice days. We will definitely be going back to try more of their menu.

Have stopped several times for a cold beer but hadn't eaten here. One of the best BBQ pork sandwiches I have ever had. Piled high with pork and coleslaw it was good that they served it with a knife and fork. I'll make this a regular stop.
