Do not be deceived by the rather drab external appearance to this restaurant. Once you get inside the ambience is very pleasant. The value for money is excellent as the food quality is high and the portions are more than ample. A very pleasant evening meal was enjoyed here.

Lunghissima vita allo Sporting!

This restaurant is located in Collegno, today the suburbs of Torino, very close to the tangenziale. Once inside I forgot the ugly buildings outside and I was greeted by a nice and helpful waitress. From a handwritten menu with original suggestions I choose as a starter peperoni al brusco (green and red pepper with vinegar, anchovy and tuna) and after carne cruda di fassona (raw meet) with roasted onions on the side.
Excellent bread and grissini were served twice with the meal and I finished with tasty mousse au chocolat.
I paid € 14 (1 liter of water included).

Buoni i primi, gnocchi e risotto.

Finding a place for a business meeting the day after Christmas (a bank holiday over here) is not easy, particularly out of big cities. I googled a restaurant in Pianezza, where my colleague is leaving, and La Stazionetta popped out. I was expecting nothing special, so I was surprised to find a very nice all-fish meal and a great service. The owner (from Sicily I guess) was in the dining area most of the time, checking the tables and giving information on the food. Check it out if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed!

Ristorante Colapasta

The douja took a very challenging target to be one of the thousand's resturants proposing 'Piemonte' typical food.... but to that with a drop of fantasy.
Very accurated place, little and stylish; I took the 'Piemontese sushi', which is a mix of typical raw meets, and 'fettuccine with wild boar sauce.... simply delicious...
last, but not least, the price per value ratio is more than good.

325 Enoteca & Degustazione

A country-chic, warm and informal venue comes from the passionate restoration of a sixteenth-century farmhouse in the heart of the old town - near the Castle of Rivoli, seat of the Museum of Contemporary Art. During your dinner you can enjoy hundreds of fine wines paired with typical local dishes, old and traditional recipes and unusual gastronomic specialties, based on the Piedmontese "Merenda Sinoira".

This is a great place. An old farm converted into a wine bar/restaurant in the heart of historical Rivoli.
Since I discovered it few month back, I have dined there many times and will continue to do so.
Excellent atmosphere, personal service, very well thought selection of wines, wonderful food and very honest prices.
Enoteca 325 is owned and run by two brothers who are more than happy to give detailed and knowledgable advice on their wine selection (and of course the food).
Places like this are very rare indeed.
