Cienfuegos (American Spanish: [sjeɱˈfweɣos]), capital of Cienfuegos Province, is a city on the southern coast of Cuba. It is located about 250 km (160 mi) from Havana and has a population of 150,000. The city is dubbed La Perla del Sur (Pearl of the South). Cienfuegos literally translates to "one hundred fires"—cien meaning "one hundred", fuegos meaning "fires".

When our driver recommended that we have lunch here while driving through Cienfuegos, we had no idea what a beautiful place we were going to be visiting. There's quite a wow factor to this building, and we had no problem waiting for our tuna sandwiches to be delivered. We were glad to have time to look around and admire the architecture. The lunch menu wasn't huge, but our tuna didn't taste as if it had come out of a can, so we were happy. The dining room wasn't crowded, and service was actually quite speedy. We made a little time to walk around outside and admire the views across the bay. We would love to return and see more of the building-and check out their dinner menu.

We spent an unintentional day at Club Cienfuegos, we paid to get in so why not make the most of it, also we’d basically done everything the else the day before.
Lunch was on the downstairs Terrace, we sat outside away from the bus loads of package holiday makers who were hitting the buffet, there was an a la carte option so we opted for that.
As a vegan, and it being predominantly seafood, there wasn’t a great deal for me so I just ordered a couple of side dishes, all fine, the daquiris were the best part. The view of the harbour is a nice setting for lunch, and after lunch we had a wander around the building, most of the rooms were closed
We spotted the nearby pool and decided to get our swim suits to sunbathe. They are missing a trick with no loungers, but awkward trying to relax on a chair.
We then came back for a pre dinner drink and to catch the sunset over the harbour, again daquiris were just as good, and the house band was very lively and had almost everyone up dancing.

Walking up the stairs there was a atmosphere of its own. Sitting on the small but beautiful balcony. Good food. Good service and a flan if its own world!

Atmosphere is very nice here, restaurant is well-decorated, staff are extremely fast and attentive. Piña colada in a real pineapple is amazing (may be seasonal, not sure).
The food is very average even by Cuban paladare standards, so I'm a little surprised this is the highest-rated Tripadvisor restaurant in Cienfuegos, but maybe the food scene there is more diminished than other mid-sized Cuban cities. It's the standard rice & beans + meat + a couple small vegetables that you would get in any randomly-selected tourist restaurant.
The pictures that other users have posted is very representative of the meal, and it tastes as bland as it looks. Not -bad-, just bland. The setting, the waiters, and the décor are so nice though it kind of makes up for a average meal. Prices are the same as in essentially every other tourist-oriented paladare in Cuba, e.g. ±3 CUC for a normal cocktail, ±10-15 CUC for a main plate.

Great view if you're sat upstairs overlooking the sea. Set menu for 20Cuc I believe, you get a fair bit of this but we certainly ate better for much cheaper in Cienfuegos. Everything in this place is perfect. The decoration, the service, the music and obviously the food. We will highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Bahia is another reason to fall in love with Cienfuegos.

The uniformity and rectilinear lines of our ART DECO style decoration identifies our three salons, where a la carte service is offered with a great diversity of dishes in which the Gourmet style is incorporated and a varied offer of wines and refreshing cocktails like sangria With fruits. you ring the bell to have the door opened. The place has no windows which is fine on a hot day, but otherwise not great. Very plain. Food is quite good and fair value. Service is okay, but not outstanding.

Cienfuegos has a main street that leads onto their malacon, Las Mamparas is ideally situated towards the busier sea end and certainly popular in a town with limited restaurants its worth popping in earlier in the day to reserve for the evening. we didn't and ended up 'having' to while away time in a cocktail bar until 9.30pm. terrible hardship! We tried a selection of starters and dips followed by the cheapest and yet cheesiest lasagne in the world, very nice but a cheese overload, my partner had the ropa vieja which was also very good. It definitely recommend this place and it was nice to see that somewhere so busy still had such low prices. A tip just in case its full is try Bang Bang just up the road, it has the same menu and some of the staff we recognised popping between the two so it appears to be its less well known and equally good sister.

Nice location with seaview and calm (fortunately). Outstandig seafood, shrimps, lobster but also regular spaghetti. Salat can be eaten without hisitation. For dinner, reservation suggested. Proper restrooms. Quiet impressive wine list. Very professional staff, extremly friendly. Overall wonderful experience.

As is typical in Cuba, we were served abundant amounts of tasty food - some of the more creative dishes, during our tour (Road Scholar). The service, spacious dining area and accompanying music, made this a very pleasant lunch experience.
