My friend and I had breakfast here. We arrived at around 9 am and only had to wait in line behind 2 other customers to order. We got a nice table outside on the porch. I had eggs Benedict and my friend had the veggie scramble. We were both satisfied with our meals. I was also happy with my OJ - it had pulp in it, which I love. I've had better eggs Benedict but this one was pretty darn good, so I would definitely return.

This is a very nice restaurant that offers a full bar, outside seating with heaters and a more secluded dining area. They offer attentive service and there is plenty if parking. Our dinner came with bread and dipping oil. I had a very delicious Turkey sandwich and my girlfriend had a very good pasta dish. Reservations are taken and needed on the weekend. There is a good selection of dinner wines that are moderate to expensive. This is a great place to gather with friends or a quiet dinner if you get the tight table.

Attire is casual. Restaurant is set in an old home, with a few extensions. Feel free to wait out back under the trees and watch them BBQ some of the finest, most tender, mouthwatering pork, chicken, or beef. Pick one, or get the combo plate with the usual BBQ side dishes. No disappointments here!

The Boiler

Modeled after Las Vegas' Oyster Bar, dishes are prepared in cooking kettles at the counter in front of you. Sauces are made from scratch so that spices can be tailored to your specific liking. High-pressured steam is pushed through pipes onto your dish at 280-307 degrees, so it simmers evenly and without the chance of overcooking. The Boiler is currently the only Cajun/Creole restaurant in the Inland Valley, which opened in 2009. It is the destination on the horizon at The Commons mall in Chino Hills.

After a long drive today we wanted a quick bite without driving far from our motel. Google maps showed me that there were a few eateries less than a block away. We tried The Boiler thinking that a cup of chowder would fill the bill. We were delightfully surprised.

I ordered Cajun Calamari from the Happy Hour menu as an appetizer. For an entree I ordered the New England style fisherman's chowder. Both were outstanding. I love fried calamari but rarely find it properly cooked. This place nailed it! A huge portion for under $7! Two of us feasted on it before our chowder arrived.

The "chowder" could be called a "stew" or "bouillabaisse" because it's loaded with tail-on shrimp, mussels (in shells), clams (in shells), crab legs (in shells) and other seafood. It has a New England chowder consistency, but it's almost entirely protein (YUM!).

Service is prompt, pleasant and attentive. Pricing is very reasonable. Our only issue with the place was the volume of the music which was otherwise pleasant. This is an excellent restaurant which I never knew existed. If they opened one near my hometown I would be a frequent patron.
