I stopped here for lunch on my way home and was very impressed. The food is simple with great flavor. I had a roast beef sandwich and really enjoyed it. The roast beef had great flavor, the lettuce and tomato were nice and crisp and the bread had great flavor. The service was prompt and very friendly.

Once Upon a Thyme

On an industrial street where you find tire, transmission and alternator shops there is this most delicate, warm, inviting restaurant. Unbelievably delightful, fresh and original flavors served with grace in a most inviting setting. Sesame ginger quinoa slaw pared with chicken pinot grigio soup and rounded out with pumpkin kahlua tiramisu... just a few of the exotic, tantalizing offerings. I have given a few other restaurants five stars but having eaten here every other place slides into three stars.

Fiddler's Coffee

Reviewed By LoryGene54 - Ocean Shores, Washington

Had read the review's for Fiddler's and thought it would be a good afternoon stop before heading back home to the beach. Their iced drinks/Italian sodas were delicious and really hit the spot after a long, hot day of traveling, but we were a little disappointed in their lack luster selection of baked goods. To be fair, it was 2PM - but there was nothing left in the case to even tempt us. The facility is wonderful, spotlessly clean and has ample parking and easy access even for those wheelchair bound.

This isn't your typical Mexican restaurant. The owner is from southern Mexico. Don't expect typical Mexican fare but do expect good food

Enjoyed a very good dinner here on our way down the I5 corridor. Easy to make reservations, although on the night we went it was not necessary. Waiter was prompt, courteous, knowledge about the menu contents and preparation, the wines. Service pace was slow enough for a leisurely dinner yet not too slow, yet waiter was attentive from a distance. Food was very good and presented in a fashion I prefer, items separated on the plate and not stacked upon each other as is very popular and contemporary. Maybe other menu items are served that way though and would not stop me from going here again for sure. I had their flat iron steak and my dining partner a white fish. Would be my first choice for a quite and upper end meal while in the Chehalis / Centralia area.

Excellent coffee and baked goods, and exceptional sandwiches for lunch. But it's the charming open atmosphere that makes Shakespeare and Company the local jewel in Chehalis's crown. The perfect place to meet friends for a cut of coffee or lunch, or to sneak off to catch up on some reading. Outstanding on all fronts.

The Shire Bar & Bistro

Reviewed By Maryann L - Fair Oaks, California

We stopped here en-route from Portland to Seattle. What a nice surprise...good food and local color. The wooden bar and a large wooden cabinet were most beautiful. There were posters, photos, antiques. All were very interesting. Service was great, as was the food. All four in our party had the clam chowder. It was thick and creamy with plenty of clams. I had a Caesar salad with shrimp. There were no tails on the nicely grilled shrimp! My husband had a grilled smoked Turkey sandwich. Our friends had shrimp salad. Everything was tasty and went well with the cold beer. There is ample on the street parking, too.

Jeremy's Farm to Table

Stopped in for dinner after a long drive. We were directed to the bar, as the large main dining room was closed; made sense on a quiet Monday night. Unfortunately the bar was anything but quiet with a football game going on the three screens, but the volume was low (the TV's, not those watching). However, the service was good and the food was as well. Lots of interesting choices on the menu. Husband and I both ordered the grilled salmon special, which came with fingerling potatoes and mixed vegetables. No sauces or fussy preparations, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine. We both appreciated the abundance of vegetables along with ample fish and potatoes. What a pleasure to get a simply delicious meal when traveling. Wine (by the glass) was good and generous for the price. Definitely will return when in Chehalis.

We came here for breakfast and appreciated that they were hosting a fundraiser for the Marine Corp auxiliary. We all owe a lot to our veterans and it was great to see a business support an organization that directly benefits our service men and women.
