Kentucky Greg's Hickory Pit

Reviewed By 3000calories - Saratoga Springs, New York

Went with a couple business colleagues during the height of lunch hour and had no trouble finding a table, despite a decent crowd, in a seat yourself environment. Service was quick and friendly (though slightly uninformed as the server was unable to say what type of smoker / wood was used). I ordered a beef brisket sandwich with a side of fried okra. The meat was fantastic, juicy and smoky. The BBQ sauce was limited and flavorful with more available on the table if desired. The bread of the sandwich did not overwhelm the meat. The fried okra was good, but nothing special. Also had ice tea unsweetened to drink, again nothing special about that. Price was reasonable.

After looking at restaurant reviews near our hotel we decided on Teton Kitchen.
We arrived at 6:00 to an already busy restaurant.
We sat at the bar and shared ribs, maki roll & a pork noodle dish.....all which were fresh & delicious.
Service was attentive and very friendly.
We would definitely return.

There is not one negative thought that comes to mind when describing Russell’s. From being greeted by the impeccably dressed owner, decor, ambiance, service and of course...the food! Absolutely delicious appetizers and my favorite steak russell. Good cocktails and dinner for two is a great option for a more manageable portion size for a good price. Highly recommended.

Duff's Famous Wings

Less than 2 miles from Buffalo (BUF) Airport. Barbecue doesn't describe it best, but I couldn't find chicken in the type cuisine. I'ts there at 550 Dick Rd, Depew. I was there. Best chicken wings, ever.

Came to this place with 3 other guys. We loved it. The wings were awesome and the service was excellent. We came back 2 more times, on our weekend trip to see the Buffalo Bills play. The medium is definitely hot.. be careful. The mild is not spicy.
I ordered their 20 wing, bowl of fries, and small pitcher of beer.. I believe the value was excellent. Could not finish all 20 wings.. they actually give you more than 20.. but not sure if that was by mistake or not.. Either way.. great deal.

Meals are very good, not exceptional, but tasty and large portions. Monday special was flank steak with soup or salad. No problem substituting veggies for potato. Steak was cooked as ordered and seasoned nicely.
The club sandwich was huge. Only 1/4 was eaten, the rest boxed for the next day or two.
Waitress was very attentive and the owner stopped at the table to check up.
Overall very good meal with very economical prices.

So disappointed that after waiting 45 minutes and being so excited over the crepes menu our waitress was rude. Ordered special of corned beef hash and immediately asked for it to be taken back when it arrived as it was 90% potatoes with a sprinkle of corn beef thru out loads of grease. She snapped that that’s what corn beef is. When she didn’t like the tip i presented (10%) she told another waitress i was rude which my 11 yr old daughter heard and was saddened. When you 11 yr old says “let’s get out of here the spirit isn’t nice” that says it all.

I've been to many Gordon Biersch restaurants and they are always consistent, good food..drinks, etc. The burgers are great and so are the appetizers such as Artichoke hearts, chicken wings, etc.. I've had the fish tacos a couple of times (very good). There selection of onsite brewed craft beers is also very good..Marzen is my favourite. Highly recommended if you are at the Galleria mall (or if the lineup at the Cheesecake factory is too long!)

Charlie the Butcher's Kitchen

As our name suggests, Charlie's grandfather started the business as an actual butcher shop in downtown Buffalo in 1915. Three generations later, Charlie The Butcher took the roasts out of the butcher case, slow roasts them, carves them with the skill of a surgeon (or butcher) and has perfected Buffalo's Famous Beef on Weck Sandwich.

We often take a long drive and back from our home near Cleveland to relatives in far-eastern New York (near Glens Falls). Always looking for alternatives to the service plazas on the Thruway. Charlie the Butcher's was an easy on and off I-90 near Buffalo...MoreFellow "Buffalonians" would argue that all of Buffalo is like that! Thanks for the wonderful review. We hope to see you again soon.

We discovered Salvatore’s on our first wedding Anniversary and fell in love. It is our FAVOURITE restaurant. It has that old gangster movie feel to it. It is not modern. Christmas time is definitely our favourite time to visit to see all the amazing decorations. The addition of the attached hotel is great and that was our first stay there. We usually do the dinner and hotel package but stayed at the Garden palace which is starting to show its age. The service is outstanding. The food incredible and portions are perfect. Price point is a little on the expensive side but you pay for the ambiance and just the whole overall experience. Love to see the same servers year after year. It must means they treat their employees well. White glove service by waiter in Tuxedo. There is always a photo op in the back with a beautiful backdrop. We will return. Can’t wait.

Olive Garden

Reviewed By travelergirl96 - Depew, New York

The food here is always very good and the server Scott is fantastic. He works hard, gets us anything we needed really fast, and the food was hot! The only downside is when we visited we didn’t have the specials menu that every other table had, so I went and grabbed one from another table. The manager came over and was very rude saying “did you guys just want another menu? What’s going on here?” And we told him we didn’t have the menu on the table and he proceeded to grab the menu my mother had in her hand and he looked at it and said oh ok. And walked away. I though that was very rude. The one time after this visit with Scott we saw the same manager and I told him, “don’t worry. I didn’t take a menu off of the table this time”.
