Burger Fixins is your typical small town burger place. A mix of burgers and fried foods. Where they really stand out is their chopped beef BBQ sandwich. Its huge. Almost twice the size of the BBQ franchise down the road. Better smoked brisket too! Beware tho'. Being a small town, they can run out of brisket. I haven't had it happen in a long time, but it has happened.

I got there at 10:30 am and there was not much left. I usually buy an apple fritter for my husband and a cinnamon roll for myself. They did not have either. In fact, they did not have much of anything left. I should have just walked out, but instead I bought a strawberry iced cake donut. since I am not fond of cake donuts, I did not much care for it. The only iced glazed donuts they had left were maple flavored. You guessed it, I do not like maple flavored icing. I won't be returning here.

Adorable coffee shop right behind the Kwik Kar that serves wonderful french pressed coffee and super yummy muffins. A must stop in the Celina, Texas area if you need great coffee.

I give this place 3 stars only because I didn't like my breakfast. The others in my group, their food looked better. I got the breakfast tacos with chorizo. They were boring but the coffee was great and the atmosphere cozy and inviting. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd give it another try.

I stopped and bought apple fritters to takeout for myself and my husband. I have to say that these apple fritters were big, but not as tasty as the apple fritters I get at the Donut Man in Prosper. They had a pretty good selection of donuts, cinnamon rolls and pigs in blankets. They have tables and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your donuts and coffee. I probably will just go back to my regular place, though.

It's easy to find Texas BBQ and smoked meat places, but not so easy to find delicious food, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. We love this place, and it has become my favorite. The baked potatoes are phenomenal. The brisket is moist and not smoky. The pickles are homemade and crunchy - (and they do offer to bring extra, since once you try them, you'll certainly ask for more). A glass of wine is reasonably priced and comes in a small mason jar. The whole restaurant is quaint and homey. You'll be greeted by many of the employees/owners in such a sincere, friendly way. They all pitch in - so service is great. They really take care of their customers here. It does get packed on weekends, so plan ahead. If weather is nice, there is outdoor seating as well.

We have driven by Papa Gallo's several times but never stopped. We thought we would give it a try, but we won't be back. After being seated, our waitress didn't say hello, didn't introduce herself, didn't say welcome, and only said "Do you know what you want to eat?" Kinda caught us off guard, but then again, she looked like she was 12 years old. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and my girlfriend ordered a brisket taco and a cheese enchilada. A few minutes later, our waitress returned and asked what we ordered. Seriously? She wrote our order down. When we were served, my girlfriend received a brisket taco and a chicken enchilada. I received my bacon wrapped shrimp which was served on a bed of shredded lettuce, and was accompanied with a dollup of guacamole. The presentation looked like something you would see at an elementary school cafeteria. The bacon wrapped shrimp were over fried and were horrid. When we brought the irregularities to the attention of our waitress, she said "This happens all the time on weekends when we are busy. You all should come back on a weekday when we are not busy. The food is great then." Seriously? There was no offer to correct the mistakes made, we were in shock with her response, and asked to speak to the manager. The manager apologized, but acted irritated. He corrected the problem by bringing my girlfriend a cheese enchilada, and another plate of bacon wrapped shrimp to me. The second plate of bacon wrapped shrimp were as over fried as the first. Horrible. The cheese enchilada was beyond gross. It tasted like glue. When the manager returned to our table to ask us how our dinner was, we relayed the secondary problems. He gruffed and said "That's the way we serve things here" and walked off. This is without a doubt the worst Mexican food we have ever eaten, the poorest service we have ever received, and the most unprofessional manager we have ever met. Worse yet, my girlfriend was sick this morning, and that is probably from the food she ate here last night. Don't even think about stopping here.

We travelled to Celina and experienced their Christmas festival – it really seems like a great town! We grabbed a bite to eat at Jimbo’s Pizza, located right on the square.
Om: We really had a great night in Celina, so this review may be a bit biased…but I really liked Jimbo’s Pizza! There is really not much to look at when you immediately walk in, just a counter with a few tables – but there is a small hallway that leads to a back part of the parlor, so there is more seating that what it seems. We ordered a jumbo cheese pizza and cheese bread, the guy that took our order was very helpful, and we came to find out he was part owner…I think. Even taking into account the back room, their pizza place is just not meant to hold a lot of people. That, and it seemed like about 20% of the room was being used for storage! There few tables that were back there were not totally clean either. We got our pizza and…ok, it was pretty good! Not a gourmet pizza by any means, but I was not expecting that either. It was large. It was cheesy. The crust was good, and the pieces were foldable! The cheese bread was nothing fancy, seemed like a lot of cheese & garlic on a poofy crust. Again, I know that Nom and I might be a bit biased – the place was not totally clean, very little ambiance, one large TV that looked about 10 years old, and not enough seating - the place had a certain charm and the food exceeded my expectations. The owners also made some nice small talk on the way out. I would have no issues going back when we are in Celina again!
Nom: This place is classic small town pizza. I grew up in a very small town…so small it was considered a village! From the entrance it looks like a total pick up pizza place but if you venture down a long hallway you will find an open area with a few tables and booths and a TV that had the basketball game on! Was it clean…not really, was it cool and charming? ABSOLUTLEY!!! Would we go back? Heck yes and it’s not necessarily because the pizza was super awesome it’s because of the charm and really nice people who run the place! Ok let’s talk pizza. The pizza had a great crust! The kind of crust that if it hadn’t been all dressed up with garlic you could have dipped in honey and had a delicious dessert! The cheese was ok, but they do put a lot of cheese on their pizza without having to order extra! The sauce was not my favorite!! It’s the sweet tasting sauce that ranks pretty low on my list of kinds I like, but all that is made up for by the atmosphere of the town and the friendly people who own and work the pizza place! When we are back I’d have their pizza again :)
Om & Nom: A "4" is probably a bit too high, but it was fine for a small town pizza place and the owners were nice. let's just make sure that the back room is a bit more presentable at all times...

My favorite sub is the spicy Italian. I bought a footlong to share with my husband. I got most of the vegetables, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, peppercinis, green bell pepper and cucumbers. I chose oil and vinegar as the dressing. The sub had plenty of fixings and we enjoyed it very much. The staff here was very nice. They open at 6:30 am and close at 10:00 pm every day. I will be back.

This is a little known gem except, probably, to the locals. It’s a very small counter-cafe with just one or two tables in the back of a clothing store, but the food is prepared to order with very healthy ingredients. My husband had the Turkey sandwich and I opted for a romaine salad with beets, peppers, avocado, and the chef’s special dressing. He also prepares a homemade soup each day. Our lunch was not only healthy but delicious.
