A quiet dinner with friends couldn't have been any better.
Lovely restaurant with excellent service last night.
Our dinners were delicious, I ordered the quail on waffle covered in huckleberry
Sauce! Moist inside with a crunchy crust outside. The waffle was
So tender and loads of the huckleberry sauce that was sweet
And yummy! My hubby had the porkchop, again!
It didn't disappoint! Our friends were equally as pleased with theirs as well.
The scallops one ordered looked as moist and delicious as any I've ever seen.
Sadly we licked our plates clean so we had no room for dessert!
We understand that in another month they will be open for Sunday brunch! Can't
Wait, we will be back!

Reo's Pizza

Came upon this place while driving in the void wilds of scenic Idaho.
Wasn't totally in the mood for pizza , but I had my dog with me and they had outdoor seating ....so
I was certainly glad that I did stop.
I ordered the lunch special of a personal pizza , comes with side salad and beverage. The salad was from a serve yourself bar, there was the typical, but also very nice fresh vegetables . plus a little pasta salad as well. The pizza was amazingly good for a roadside pizza place. The dough may be pre made , but with generous toppings and fresh sauce and a lot of cheese , it was actually quite tasty .
Would say definitely worth a stop

Grandma's Homestead Restaurant

Reviewed By T9-Orca - Seattle, Washington

I'm told that on summer weekends, people can wait an hour for a table, but we only had to wait about 20-minutes. The menu is limited but standard, offering standard breakfast fare. They were busy, and the food took a while to come, but not too long.

The food itself was unexceptional: eggs over easy, toast made with grocery store type bread (rye in my case), thick pancakes, tea (a selection), biscuits and gravy (ok), link sausage, and shredded potato home fries.

The wait staff was attentive and very friendly, on what was clearly a busy day just before the eclipse.

All-in-all, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, but it was a perfectly good breakfast.

Golf Course Restaurant

Next to Park, on the lake

Reviewed By JonasandDelice - Caldwell, Idaho

Ok, first first of all, this restaurant is no longer called Golf Course Restaurant, but Lakefront Bar & Grill.

Secondly, the location is breathtaking. Directly off of the stunning lake, and the tiny golfcourse, the entire side is covered in giant windows, allowing stunning view of the lake.

Thirdly, the inside of this restaurant is beyond tacky. Beer advertising banners, four if not five giant flatscreen TVs in every possible nook and cranny, masking taped table numbers and disgracefully outdated floor and furniture including the awful, dilapidated deck. And located near our table was evidence of perhaps karaoke equipment?

Fourthly, the breakfast we were served was one of the best I have ever eaten. No, you have not misread that. Literally. One. Of. The. Best. I am on a severely restricted diet right now, excluding dairy, corn and gluten and when I asked to swap out my toast for sausage, I was immediately informed that the restaurant offer MORE THAN ONE different kinds of gluten free breads. Absolutely speechless for such a small place to be so avant-garde and intuitive to clientele's needs. My hubby and I both ordered a simple 2 egg combo, with the "house fries" and hubby got sourdough toast, while I stuck with swapping out the bread for sausage--and was NOT disappointed. House fries? THE BOMB. Fresh potatoes, diced, fried with thinly sliced onions and a magical spice combo (my guess is it included garlic, salt, and maybe cayenne or paprika?), cooked to perfectiom: soft on the inside and crispy deliciousness on the outside. Sausage? UNREAL. A thick slice, cooked till a thick crust formed on the outsides, and such a perfect blend of spices there too. Not overkill, but just right. My eggs which I ordered over medium, were a little undercooked, but hubby swapped me for his perfect scrambled eggs. The portions were so huge we were not able to finish them in one sitting so we took the rest with us in a to-go box (couldn't waste them!).

On our way out, we were lucky to meet the chef himself, who happened to be husband to our lovely server. Extreme passion about his ingredients. Unreal. He told us he even offers GF breaded items and is about to roll out a GF biscuit--pun unfortunately intended.

We left shaking our heads at the irony of finding fellow foodies in such a tiny town, and such an unlikely establishment, and wishing we had the chance to taste more of his food!

Great for a quick picnic lunch to enjoy at the lake or whitewater park. There is another fast food sub etc place available at Chevron gas as you go south of Cascade. This is not the only fast food. Great sandwiches as always with a smile. Enjoyed the lunch - Thanks

Whizzing down 55 to Boise or up to McCall you can pull off the road just south of Cascade, Idaho, into a lot big enough to always have parking room to this comfortable restaurant. Wonderful burgers, salads and homemade pies await you. Friendly service and fast, but if you want to linger for coffee, they don't make you feel like they need the space. Working and traveling peoples stop.

They still have a great burger and great pizza! I've had both so far this summer. Clear Creek makes, in my opinion, the best pizza in Cascade. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I stop in several times every summer and they've never disappointed yet.

Lake Front Restaurant

Reviewed By DOCDQ - Caldwell, Idaho

We were there for a Monday late night meal. The view is spectacular and worth a stop if you are traveling through. The service was good although slow. The food was unremarkable and mostly edible. The club sandwich was laden with mayonnaise. The taco/nacho plate was huge and good although the refried beans were old. A couple of side dishes were not delivered, although the portion size of the rest of the meal was so large that we didn't request the omitted salad/soup. Not highly recommended, although it may be the only place in town.
