Salmon Lodge Restaurant

Pre booked a table for 13 people on the patio, well in advance which also included one wheelchair. Well trust me on this, the restaurant is not accommodating of wheelchair persons, also the senior gentleman behind the counter said we would not have the patio Seating because he did not "write that down" We were all ushered to a table inside the lodge which was very disappointing and if we were not hungry after long drive - would have walked out. He would not even listen to us, oh well, these 13 persons and their friends will not be back again. Previous review said "fight for the patio" that is so true. Bonaventure Lodge for us next year

Brasserie 1026

We had a difficult time locating this site by the GPS address on 'Water St'. It is actually inside a covered shopping mall with a red Scotia Bank on the corner off of Water St. Well worth finding! We were there for lunch. All orders come with a soup bar. There were four delicious selections,I tried all four! Best Creme of Mushroom I have ever tasted! We also ordered spinach salads, very fresh. My husband had a generous hamburger and I had a 9" wood fired pizza. Ample free parking around both doors of the restaurant and they have a full bar. (Appears the Police Station is located next door) Staff was very attentive. It looked like there were gambling machines on site too...but I'm not sure what they were...really glad we found the place. We noticed the bridge across to our Gaspé Peninsula route and saved us a lot of drive time. Glad we came to Campbellton!

What an excellent find in Campbellton. We were camping at Sugarloaf Provincial Park and we wanted a simple yet nice meal. This Pizza Delight offered Scores chicken, which I had and was delicious. There is a little area offering a bread bar where one can toast one's own garlic bread and there is also a salad bar. I particularly loved their desserts - my son had the cookie and ice cream on a skillet and I had the apple and ice cream on a skillet. We had eaten at a higher end restaurant the night before in Quebec City and Pizza Delight put them to shame with their desserts. Also the service was excellent and swift. I would return here anytime.

If you're looking for tasty, home cooked meals and very good value, this is the place. Located just at the foot of the Campbellton bridge. Don't leave the plain, diner style decor fool you. These ladies work hard and serve good food. Excellent poutine!! I also ad spaghetti au gratin (neither dish was shy with the cheese)!

Cafe Chez Wes Restaurant

Recently travelling on business for the first time to Campbelton and needed a place for a quick bite for lunch. Chez Wes proved to be a great choice
What I liked: Very good quality food (fish and chips), very friendly service in a very casual setting. Some home-cooked style menu items. Something for everyone
What to watch for: Yes, I did rate it as "excellent", but it is an extremely casual place - You place your order at the counter, and it is delivered to your table - so not the fanciest of place

One of my co-workers suggested Chez Kim for an authentic Chinese/Vietnamese experience, so I had to try it out.
The restaurant was about half-full when we arrived on a Friday night. We were guided to our seat, there is only one waitress, and I'm assuming she helps prepare or cook the food as well since it took her quite a while to give us water or even the menu. We ordered the Chinese meal for two, and once we ordered our food, it didn't take long for our meal to begin: won ton soup, an egg roll, graphic ribs, chicken balls, chicken Chow mein and rice. A good sized portion of each and it was all delicious, and obviously homemade. The restaurant quickly filled up to capacity, so the waitress was quite busy. She failed to bring my boyfriend the coffee he'd ordered, but we didn't care. It was a great meal, and since we'd been warned that service can take a while, we took it all in stride. We will definitely be back.
I failed to take photos of this occasion.

Reviewed By helrac - Montreal, Canada

i have been here in Campbellton for five days looking for a little spark and something sweet to eat. so this afternoon, i went to find Café Europa, it took me a little too long to get around to going there, but it is the real deal and you know it when you walk in. there is a brightness to the place even on a grey cold day like the day i went, the folks smile and say hello to you when you walk in, there is all kind of decoration on the blackboards, lovingly put up by their talented and creative baker (caramel pecan brownies anyone?), their coffee is locally roasted and tasty (even their decaf) and they really, really care that you have a good experience. the baked goods and sandwiches greet the eye first and they are pretty inviting. they don't disappoint. there is also a daily soup; today's was the owner's Hungarian family goulash recipe. don't go late when they've got the goulash on the menu or you might miss out! this goulash is a soup, with big chunks of vegetables, lots of shredded chicken and a little kick. it was accompanied by a home-made biscuit. delightful! (i got a lemon square to go, and then went back and got that goulash for my dinner!) there was nice music playing and they were just putting up the holiday decorations. this is a place where you could sit and read, or work on your computer or just dream. on weekends they have live music and in the summer, they have a patio. it is a shame that their downtown shop had to close and it is a wonderful thing that they are doing well at their new location. on my next trip, whether i need a good coffee, a good sweet or some good homemade fare, i know where i will head!
