Came here for a "family" meal for 6 adults.
Staff were very friendly and food was excellent.
It is always a good sign when they can make slight alterations to items on the menu at request.
We were worried about parking beforehand, however there appeared to be adequate street parking around - we had no problem finding a space.
Only point of concern was that they were very happy pouring out additional glasses of (good house) wine but not as good in looking after the non-drinkers in the party!
Will look for an opportunity to eat here again in the future.

Dinner was so nice. Simple and nice. I had the ribeye and my husband had filet mignon with baked potato and a glass of house wine. One of the best steaks I have had in the Netherlands. We started with bread which came with 3 sauces. The green and red spreads were so delicious, I am still drooling. I will definitely go back soon.

A little piece of Italy in the centre of Bussum. Indulge, and let yourself and your companions be treated to a fantastic dinner and a great evening in Grande Selene. Our pizzas are baked in our new wood fired oven for that authentic taste. And of course our team is here to make your evening one to remember. Since we find family important, we would like the whole family to enjoy themselves, young and old. Thus for the kids we have a playroom where they can play to their heart’s content. In the centre of Bussum you'll find "Grande Selene", a restaurant run by Italians and indeed offering true Italian cuisine. The have a basic menu with for instance 'Carpaccio di Manza al Tartufo', 'Insalata Caprese', 'Funghi trifolati', 'Spaghetti con Vongole', 'Tagliatelle neri con Calamari', 'Zuppa di pomodori fresci', 18 or so Pizza's, 'Ossobucco classico', 'Filetto di Manzo alla griglia' 'Gamberoni', 'Tonna alla griglia' and some very nice desserts. Including of course 'Tiramisu' and 'Pannacotta'. Traditional dishes but very well prepared with very good quality ingredients. If the weather permits you can sit outside but the restaurant is close to the railway...
Staff friendly and helpfull and they are there when you need them. Definitely worth a 'visita'.

Our favorite Greek restaurant. We get the Zorba mixed grill always (fotia piato). The feta in the salad is real and the taziki is delicious. Eat there. You won't regret it.

Had a chateaubriand for 2 and a desert. Very positively surprised given that the Le Beau Geste is in this mall town: meat was spot on, super tender, quality level of high class steak restaurants. Service very nice and at cause.
Relaxed atmosphere, cosy, bistro-style. Reasonable pricing (~€ 60 for two persons for chateaubriand, water and wine, one desert)
Bottom line: if you are looking for an easy but really good restaurant in Huizen, this can be your place.

Forget about the location, on a busy road, coz when you step inside, you enter a contemporary restaurant with nice dimmed lights. The level of Chinese food in The Netherlands is mostly experienced as 'fast food wok', but here they rise way above this level. Newish kind of dishes, that look like small modest paintings and marvellous taste. All of this goes with staff members that are super attentive and friendly but never intrusive.

De Gasterij has been around for a long time. The quality of the food has always been good and the prices are very reasonable.
Perhaps the best quality of De Gasterij is the service. Friendly, knowledgeable, and above all making you feel at home.
There is a small terras so wheather allowing you can enjoy lunch or dinner outside.

I ate there with 2 other friends and we had a great evening. The waiters and service were great, they really understand their job and are open for experiments. Unfortunatelly this didn't worked out with our starter and the choice of the wine but this was the only thing that wasn't oke for us so that's why my title is 'almost perfect' . The rest of the evening the courses and wines were very good and we really enjoyed.

We had the tasting menu and while relatively expensive the food was incredible. Very unusual combinations which were really enjoyable. Service was excellent - very attentive staff who genuinely wanted to ensure a memorable meal.

If you like Asian flavours and especially Indonesian food this restaurant will steal your heart. For decades they know how to keep the right Indonesian tradition and still surprise you with the dishes they compose. Just order the lunch menu to experience their newest creations. For drinks order water, beer or white wine. I suppose there will be some fruit drinks as well.
