I didn't have a very good experience, I'm guessing it was my servers first day. All the little things you take for granted were missed, like cutlery. There was a second server who picked up the slack. The food and drinks were average.Hi W, we're sorry to hear about the service you received and we would like the chance to look into this for you. If you could please provide your details at https://bostonpizza.com/contact-us.html we will be able to follow up. Thank you!

The Codfather

Reviewed By TwoSK - Markham, Canada

We went Codfathers because my kid wanted fish and chips. It is located in what looks like an industrial plaza, totally out of the main downtown strip. When we first walked in, the place was nearly empty and looked very Spartan. We decided to eat here anyway since we were hot and tired.
We ordered the fried shrimp dish, the cod fish and chips, and the tandoori fish. We also upgraded the fries to a caeser salad and to a poutine. Everything was delicious. The shrimp and the cod were lightly battered and so fresh. The tartar sauce had just the right amount of tartness. The tandoori fish was marinated in a reddish spice and grilled. It was very flavourful. We polished everything off in less time than it took them to cook the dishes.
Service was efficient and friendly. I would recommend searching out this place if you are in Brooks or close by. We were staying at Dinosaur Provincial Park and leaving the next day, or we would have gone back for more.

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Brooks. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. I usually get the green Thai curry with chicken, but one of these days, maybe I'll try something else.

Nikko Sushi

Reviewed By shelmarcel - Edmonton

Stopped in for dinner, odd space (2nd floor office bldg) but comfortable. Ordered sashimi & roll platter--good portions on the sashimi, but rolls a bit lacklustre (too much rice, bland). Could've used more variety in the sashimi. Nice that our waitress informed us that sake wasn't a brand of beer--we had a good laugh at that one. Staff overall was very friendly, would go back again when in Brooks next time!

Sam's Oriental Restaurant

Reviewed By MJLAlberta_Canada - Alberta, Canada

A hot bowl of wonton soup and a variety of foods on the buffet were our lunches yesterday. Our only complaint was that the soup was too salty, but still it was full of great flavors. The buffet had 8-9 selections, not huge, but tasty nevertheless. A cold salad or raw vegetables would have made a nice addition. The shrimp in a light sauce was very good, also the fried rice and thirdly, the Cambodian spring rolls were the favorites. The noodle dishes were also very fresh and delicious.

Had fish and chips. Fish was fresh and batter crispy. Wife had steak Sandwich. Delicious also. Very few people there added up to prompt service from our waitress.
Update: Garth's has closed it doors due to economic downturn. Yet another restaurant to close in Brooks and surrounding area.

Located in the bar of the Brooks Hotel is a great eating tradition! Order the beef sandwhich, loaded and heated on French bread! The onions, cheese, mustard and peppers add to the flavour! A side of onion rings or fries adds calories but both are delicious!

Stopped in after a long day fishing for a quick meal before driving home. What a pleasant surprise on decor, speed, and great tasting food! Giovanna was very pleasant and attentive. Food arrived quickly, everything was hot, and it all was delicious. We will plan on stopping here more often when we are heading home through Brooks.

Good Bites Eatery

Reviewed By BenLar137 - Calgary, Canada

We returned to this family-run restaurant this year after having had a great meal there last year on a vacation. The place was just as clean as before, and the server just as friendly. We had a variety of dishes and they were all great. Being from Shanghai, they have special Shau Mai dumplings reflecting their heritage. But the green onion pancakes were even more tasty, as they make them a bit crispier now. Both of our entrees were colourful and delicious. It was a treat to have a meal here - not a fancy schmancy place - and we'll probably stop by next time we're driving through the area.
