Всегда вкусная еда и напитки, все мило, недорого и по-домашнему, чисто, аккуратно, приветливый персонал, заказ приносят быстро, есть детское меню, есть постные и диетические блюда, порции очень приличные, вкусно все- от супов до мороженого, но выпечка- это что-то!

Had a dinner here. While there was nothing unbearable, everything including the service and the meal was average.
It looks that other good reviews were by locals who didn't have a chance to compare the food to the one in Moscow.
Potato-chicken pan tasted trivial, mushroom soup was like in a cheap cafe (well known Moscow's Shokoladnitsa), and so on.
Service was very slow and inattentive.
Atmosphere was nice though it was the only pleasant experience here.

В ресторан "Изба" в Боровске случайно не попадешь. Его не видно с дороги. Я узнала о нем по отзывам в Интернете, за что крайне признательна всем, кто о нем написал. После поездки из Москвы в Пафнутиев Боровский монастырь и экскурсии по монастырю, мы устали и проголодались. Доехав до Боровска, мы остановились в этом чудесном месте для отдыха.
Сидя рядком в тени липы, мы смотрели на чудесные зеленые холмы с монастырями и церквами напротив нас. Видовая открытая площадка довольно обширная, впечатление загородного клуба, хотя находится эта красота в центре Боровска за какими-то городскими постройками. Что мы ели, не так уж и важно, все принесли быстро, все было вполне съедобно. Но воспоминание об этом обеде незабываемое. 50% радости от Боровска, хотя и сам по себе город очень хорош.

The refectory is a café of weighed food. In our cafe we serve portions with an unfixed mass. You can arrange garnish, hot or salad at a fixed price for one hundred grams. You only pay for how much you want to eat. How it works? At the entrance you take a tray, then make a choice of the dishes you like and put them in plates. The cashier weighs your plates and calls the amount to be paid. You decide what your meal should be! And thanks to large areas (350 seats), all guests can comfortably stay at their table. If you are looking for a place where you can have a tasty breakfast (from 09.00-11.00), have a hearty lunch or dinner, just come to the refectory, and you will see that here is really pleasant, warm atmosphere and delicious, like at home!
