I came to this restaurant twice when holidaying in the area this July. First night with family and the second night with my beautiful girlfriend. Quite simply this place has exceptional food, which is well chosen and prepared. The service was friendly and efficient. The wines we had both nights were delicious. The front outside Terrace is a perfect venue to enjoy great food and company in a lovely surroundings. Highly recommended !

Visited this restaurant for lunch as we were attracted by its pretty exterior en its interesting menu. We chose the formule at 26 euros, consisting of an excellent tapanade, an amuse-bouche of a tasty carrot soup like concoction with a tiny creamy mousse on top, followed by a choice of main course and dessert.
We both chose artichokes stuffed with confit of duck for our main course. This was well presented and delicious. I chose a simple but excellent strawberry and cream dessert. My husband chose the cheesecake and was quite impressed. The service was good but they had to be reminded to bring the bread which turned out to be a little too rubbery for my taste.
The restaurant itself has real character and makes the most of its privileged setting. It is certainly worth a visit for the atmosphere alone.

Cafe du Progres

Reviewed By EppoSt - Arnhem, The Netherlands

It is in the corner right in town, so you have cars passing by the restaurant. If you want to avoid the noise, don't take a table at the outside of the Terrace. Food is good, nothing special bit well taken care off, service is fast, very fast as if they are in a hurry to sell the table again. It could do with some more atmosphere. Now it is just one of those places. Nothing wrong with it, bit that's it.

Excellent spot for lunch. We arrived quite late in the afternoon and were very pleased to be offered a table when other restaurants were closing up. On offer at that time were just salads or pizza which suited us perfectly. We opted for the Caesar salad and the Chèvre salad and both were absolutely delicious. Service was great and if we had been here longer we would have definitely returned for another meal.

We picked La Farigoulette from Tripadvisor based on reviews and pictures. Indeed the place is nice and situated along a quiet street. The menu appealed to us and we choose a bottle of white wine from the long list op options.
We loved the starter, tune in a green soup. It tasted and looked amazing so did the main course. Great meat with some veggies and jus. The cheese was somewhat disappointing, looked too much like supermarket brie with some truffle sprinkles, a little lack of inspiration i would say. The dessert looked nice, we had a chocolate cake in the shape of a clock. The taste was average and not spectacular like de starter or main. This would be ok at a certain price level but in our case it became overrated compared to other restaurants in the area.
Would we go again? Maybe.

Les 5 Sens

First off, this place is well-situated on an alley in the centre of Le Lavandou, NOT as the TripAdvisor map has it, half a mile east, above St Clair on a similarly-named street. (We enjoyed the bracing walk!). We loved the welcome and the big high-ceilinged inside with huge wooden beams. Single fixed price menu €27.50 offered lots of choice and each course was beautifully presented. Our only gripe was the lack of flavour. Our pâté de fois gras, too cold, did not taste of anything and my steak in burgundy sauce needed something else to spice it up. Tarte fine (apple) with caramel ice cream was good, however. Overall a decent place but the cooking needs to be braver.

Wow, such a tiny village with such an affordable one star Michelin restaurant with above excellent service and of course very good food. We can highly recommend, they serve a menu but it takes all the chef can Delivery out to your table. The waitresses are great and you will not be disappointed. The prices are more than fair giving the fact that you are in the Cote. In fact we felt it was more affordable than other less restaurants in the area, especially if you look at the winelist... Go for it!

I had high hopes for this restaurant based on reviews. We dined in July and were offered a table only on the unattractive footpath. Inside the restaurant no tables were set up or offered. It looked a mess. I had hoped to sit inside with air con as it was very hot. The pavement Seating is all on a slope and not comfortable. Ambience was zero. Not even a bit of music. Service by chef's wife was friendly and efficient. We opted for the 3 course set menu. Food was average and not worthy of a visit, you can do better in the village.

This is absolutely one of the best pasta places in Bormes-Les-Mimosas and perhaps southern France.
The pasta is absolutely delicious, the place has a beautiful atmosphere and the staff is just fantastic. Service second to none.
This is a small restaurant that offers the real french food experience.
Just go there.
They do only serve pasta and the portions are huge.
Remember to bring cash, they do not accept credit card or VISA.

I love to be surprised.. And yes I did love the perfectly combined flavors Laurent proposes. While one would not bet a penny from the outside - a square anonymous short building - wait till you walk in... Lovely people, lovely Laurent which takes the time to personally welcome each guest and amazing food . If I had to choose one single word to describe Chez Laurent I would use "balance". All the ingredients are so perfectly balanced and blended with each other . Spices super fresh ingredients and Laurent creativity... Prices are absolutely appropriate and not too expensive. A ++++++ for me.
