I eat here at least once every time I come to town. They serve the best catfish fingers I have ever had. Great sides, Cheese Grits, Coleslaw. I don't know if the cocktail sauce and tartar sauce is house made but they are delicious. Daily specials. If you don't like it fried this may not be your place.

Sun. Buffet cheap and good - Southern-fried chicken crispy & juice greens, peas (crowder? Little bitty, also grown in So. Ark), fresh salad were good.
Gravy was nothing to write home about (not good ole Southern stick-to-your ribs pan gravy, somewhat disappointing). Desserts - sticky globby-gluey glutenous peach cobbler but Puddings ok.
Served the purpose. Restrooms need attention.

El Jalisco

My husband and I are locals. Retired here from a busier place and time. El Jalisco offers a great taste and very reasonable prices. The menu has a variety of options ( I am a meat eater but he eats only fish and seafood and lots of veggies) The wait staff are friendly and the service is fast. The prices are excellent for the budget minded.

Stopped in on our way south. The place is neat and clean, the staff friendly. The bread and meat lady followed the recipe, the veggies lady just threw stuff on with no attention to presentation. But, the sandwich was still all Subway.

Sand Bar And Grille

I have been visiting the Sand bar since it was acquired by the current owner. It is always a fun and friendly atmosphere. I have tried multiple dishes during lunch and dinner, yet never had a bad meal. Everything is always cooked as ordered with attentive service from the waitstaff. My personal favorite dish is the crab stuffed Mahi.

It seems like everything else in this town in closed or about to close. Pizza hut is a staple and standing strong. The buffet is solid and the staff is excellent. Some big city establishments should take a class from them on charm.

Lindy's Chicken

Reviewed By Sarracenia - Norman, Oklahoma

We were driving through Blountstown and it was lunch time. We Did not want to eat at the usual chain fast food restaurants. We asked at a gas station where could we get good fried chicken. We were told to go to Lindy's. Glad we did since we really enjoyed the fried chicken and the biscuits. The batter they use is good and it makes for very tasty chicken. The biscuits with honey were also pretty good. Service was good and the food came fairly fast. price was reasonable. The place is not fancy, but it has AC which is important in the summer. We will return for more fried chicken if we are in this area.

Main Street Station Restaurant

Reviewed By JeanYHZ - Waverley, Canada

Stopped at this restaurant for lunch. We had the cup of soup (minestrone) and a garden salad for $6.99. Soup was hot, somewhat tasty, but not great; price was good. Not much veggie content in the soup. Salad was a good size but some of the lettuce was brown at the edges. The service was fast and friendly. Decor is bland; not a very welcoming place. It was just okay.

this location has been around for 20 years or so, and even though the place is run by an endless supply of high schoolers, the food is always what you order, always ready when they say, and always tasty. Excellent fresh salads and toppings, and no scrimping on the cheese on the pizzas or 3 cheese bread. A winner, every time. I rarely eat Hungry Howie's in my own town, but get it consistently whenever I visit the Blountstown area. Call ahead for extra quick service.
