Tremendous choice of menu. Most main dishes include a choice of 2 soups and 3 sweets in the price. Really good prices and especially of the various grill items including fillet steak. Lovely delicatessen food and drinks shop. They sell a particular cake which seems to an area speciality and is called Kärntner reindling

Raucher im Lokal - Geschmack der Mehlspeisen! Diese sind grundsätzlich schon zu empfehlen. Werden allerdings immer kleiner und kleiner. Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte ein Drittel kleiner als vor 10 Jahren noch... Qualität aber ok.

wer in dieser gegend gute küche sucht, sollte sich per rad, auto oder sonst was hierhin hochpumpen. wirt edi hat immer lustiges zu erzählen v.a. aber über die saisonale angebote, die die kleine aber feine küche zu bieten hat. empfehlung zur zeit morcheln, die persönlich gesammelt überall hin landen: die intensivsuppe ist ein traum, die pizza mit morchel, gibt es sonst nirgendwo und das pesto ist hinreissend. das team funkioniert gut, weine sind interessanterweise eher aus der slowenischen steiermark anzutreffen. es gibt zimmer und, das ist das fantastische, einen der besten ausblickspunkte in Unterkärnten, sonnenuntergang garantiert. der zu besuchende, persmanhof befindet sich in ausgangsweite.

ein absolutes muss sind die verschiedenen hadnnudeln und ja nicht zu vergessen die hadntorte als süsser abschluss! traditionelles landgasthaus, im kleineren bereich mit gemütlicher atmosphäre, der grosse saal ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und strahlt für mich leider keine atmopshäre aus. die bedienung ist freundlich, aber man muss schon etwas geduld mitbringen. ansonsten durchaus lob für die küche!

We chose to have lunch at Hartl prior to a visit to nearby Museum Liaunig upon recommendation of a family friend. She warned us that the interior was nothing to write home about, but the weather was nice anyway and we got a nice table in the garden with view of the church. Service was friendly and food arrived rather quickly. Since the regional speciality is everything with buckwheat ("Hadn" in Carinthian dialect), both my mother and I tried some Hadn specials - her salad with fried Hadn patties was very tasty even though she found that some kind of sauce would not have been a bad idea. I went for the Hadn pasta, which was quite original both in flavour (a bit reminiscent of poppyseed in look and grainy texture) and presentation, but I found the taste a bit bland. In all fairness, I requested it without the "Grammeln" that it should be paired with and they no doubt would have added a salty, savoury kick to the otherwise somewhat neutral tasting pasta. Prices are decent (the Hadn-Nudeln were just under 10 EUR) and the mixed side salads were better than expected, too. The menu is rather small, but consistant with mainly regional cuisine. Would recommend and return when in the area. I was intrigued by the buckwheat cake, but was too full to try it. Next time!

Dass eine Konditorei und Lebzelterei süße Träume erzeugt, liegt auf der Hand, dass dort auch ein Wachsziehermuseum seine Bleibe hat, schon weniger, dass das Cafe jedoch eine Zeitreise in die Sechziger Jahre bietet, ist schlichtweg sensationell. Wer diese Zeit zu schätzen weiß, wird sich dort sofort zu Hause fühlen. Wo andere Kaffeehäuser und Konditoreien immer "modern" sein wollten, blieb das Stöckl Cafe dem Stil treu; einem Stil, der heute wieder voll im Trend liegt. Aber hier ist´s keine Kulisse, kein Nachbau, kein Film-Set. Da ist alles original erhalten. Und dass der leider 2006 verstorbene Senior-Chef ein Freund von Werner Berg und Kiki Kokelnig (ja, diese Kiki, die einstens die New Yorker Kunstszene aufmischte) war, hat der Lokalität einen unverwechselbaren Flair verliehen. Mit einem Wort: Kulinarischer Kunstgenuss pur.

I love their sweets because they have pristine and original taste, not that fake industrial taste caused by flavor enhancering chemicals. My favourite cake is Rezina Katra (2,20 €/pc), containing vanilla cream, blueberries and chocolate cover. Place is clean and staff is very friendly. Recommend.

Ich war mit einem Freund am 18.2.2018 Im Restaurant Pik, ich hab wieder mal das perfekte, nicht überhäufte Steak nach Chef Art bestellt - Qualität 1A, der frische Gemüse dazu auch 1A und dazu gab es Mangold (ich liebe Mangold). Mein Kumpel hatte eine 50 cm Pizza mit Scampi, traumhaft köstlich :-)
Als Krönung danach auch noch eine Nachspeise, 1 x Palatschinke mit Sauerkirsche und Vanilleeis, ooooh mein Gott, herrlich.
Mein Kumpel hatte Palatschinken mit Topfen, nicht zu süß aber super im Geschmack!
Also ich weiß warum ich jedes Jahr 3 - 4 mal nach Slowenien fahre :-)
Zu Bedienung, die Dame sowie der Herr geben sich sehr große Mühe, sind freundlich und zuvorkommend und geben auch gerne Empfehlungen ´.

The perfect place located far away from a town between wooded flank of hills with nice mountain stream bubbling over rocks. We booked a comfortable room with a balcony. Room was clean and nice furnished with comfortable bed and table inside and two chairs and table on the balcony. There is wellness room in the hotel with sauna and jacuzzi for the additional fee (30 euro per 2 hours) - very nice. Good (continental type) breakfast is served in the restaurant just on the opposite side of the street.

We started with the chicken liver dumpling soup ( Mit Hausgemachtem leberknodel only 3.50 Euros Very nice a 10 for the price
Then mains Fish filet with cous-cous Very nice 9/10 15.50Euros
And the beef with fried onions, veg, gravy and potato. 16. euros 8.5/10
Plus they have a great old record player, where for 20 cents, you can chose a 45 single to play,, Nice bit of nostalgia !
