The restaurant is a quaint house transformed into a restaurant. They had art work displayed throughout and tables were spread out comfortably. Staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They had a good selection of food, beer, wine and spirits. Apps came out quickly and there was a unique sorbet to cleanse your palette before the main course. They also had a desert menu with options for all. We had steak and risotto and everyone enjoyed their meal. We also had 2 desserts for the 3 of us and both were excellent. While items were on the pricey side it was well worth it for the quality of food, ingredients and deliciousness. If near by a must try.

Interesting little cafe off the Main Street, very small, must have been known for their donuts. We , 3of us, had a delicious lunch, grilled cheese, chicken and their tuna sandwich. Their cupcakes were very tasty, everything is made right there. The swoosh from their AC was noted as you entered, it was a swoosh!

The folks behind the counter were friendly and the vibe of the place is relaxing and welcoming. Coffee drinks were great, and food was just what we needed - ate there twice over a two-day sisters/mom weekend! We had quiche, soup, wraps, scones, cookies ... all tasty and well-prepared. Definitely a stop on any trip through or while staying in Berkeley Springs!

We enjoyed our meals a lot. Tari's flatbread was really good and so was the raspberry vinegrette on our salad. My husband ordered a mixed drink and I got a sweet tea that wasn't very sweet. The chicken cabonnara was good and there was a lot if it so now I have lunch for tomorrow. Yippee! I enjoyed it and my husband liked my meal more than his New York strip. He said the steak was good but it was just a steak. The service was good. We ate dessert there earlier in the day and it was really good. He had the creme brulee. One of his favorites. We spent $100 for dinner and $17 on dessert including tip. We would definitely eat there again.

We stopped in here about 5:00 on Saturday 8/20/16. The place was crowded, and the line was long. There were two people working, and I think they were friendly, and quick with our ice cream order. I was looking forward to the ice cream so it hit the spot. An added bonus was the parking meter already had enough time on it for us.

This was a first time visit to the Angus and Ale driving up from Winchester based upon a co-workers recommendation. While the outside of the restaurant does not have a lot of curb appeal, based upon the number of cars in the lot on a Friday evening this proved to be a good choice. The wait staff was great and the food was even better. The ribs and small sirloin steak were tremendous as was the sides and salads. A good listing of craft beers was a plus. Map this location and enjoy a great meal.

Dairy Queen

Visited on a Saturday evening and several young ladies were working the counter and unfortunately, their customer service skills could use additional training. The young lady who took our order asked if it was "eat-in or to-go" and we indicated "to-go". She prepared two of the four blizzards, put them on the counter and walked away. When she returned we asked for lids which appeared to be an inconvenience to her: without saying a word, she placed them on the counter and walked away. Another young lady came with the last two blizzards and set them on the counter. Again, we had to ask for lids as well as a carrier. She placed them on the counter and walked away; she didn't say a word, didn't smile or make an attempt to put the lids on or place the blizzards in the carrier. We were the only individuals in the DQ at the time, so the need to rush through and assist other customers wasn't the case. Poor service all around and the blizzards weren't very good either.

The Country Inn At Berkeley Springs

Reviewed By DasKins - Durango, Colorado

This experience ruined the remainder of our vacation. Three people at dinner time ordered: pretzel appetizer, two sodas, one water, chicken breast dinner, rib dinner and pasta dinner. We spent TWO HOURS there and had to leave to find somewhere else to have dinner! Had to get up and find a waitress four separate times as they would not come back. An hour after arriving we received our food. The chicken breast was COMPLETELY RAW INSIDE (not exaggerating), the ribs were ice cold and the pasta seemed fine but had an “off cheese” kind of smell that we assumed was some type of fancy cheese. Got up to find a waitress since someone dropped off the food, but nobody returned. She saw the chicken and said she would get the manager. The manager came out TWENTY MINUTES later and took the two plates of untouched food away. The pasta was cold by this time and two of us had no food. She only offered to remove the chicken and ribs (which we obviously didn’t eat) from the bill as a courtesy. They didn’t even touch the side dishes. A COURTESY!!? The manager left and eventually we had to get up again to find a waitress to give us a bill. Other than removing the two dinners we couldn’t eat, she didn’t even take a soda off the bill and we were 1.5 hours into “dinner” with nobody having eaten yet. What is so sad, is that the person with the cold pasta ate several bites but said she didn’t care for it as it tasted odd. We eventually got the $35 bill after two hours of being there, paid it (my MIL is too kind and left a 20% tip who knows why) and left to find somewhere to eat dinner! The pasta person said she wasn’t feeling well so the other two ordered dinner elsewhere. The one who ate the pasta ended up VOMITING about an hour after we left, and didn’t stop until the next day. She couldn’t eat for two days!!! It wasn’t the pretzel as we all had eaten that. Trust your gut and never mistake something that tastes spoiled for “fancy cheese,” especially from a restaurant that just served you raw chicken. I’m still shocked that we gave these people over $40 and two hours of our time, just to talk with a manager who couldn’t care less and ruined our vacation. This was a three day vacation and this happened our first night there. Food safety? Nope.
