Food is good. Service is reliable. Atmosphere is quaint. Not a fan of their french roast coffee (but that might be dated information) since I haven't been there in a while. Not my most favorite place, but probably because it seems to be everyone else's and it tends to feel a little sardine-like for my tastes. I'm not a real fan of waiting too long either. Still, probably worth a 'look/see' of your own.

Small and cozy, a cottage converted. Winter time seating is limited to indoor only, summer, fall adds extra patio service.
Excellent food, service, wine list and ambiance. They offer Prix Fixe menu as well as al la carte dining. Linen tablecloths, candles, tough to get reservations sometimes but worth it.

Excellent for special occasions. Menu changes seasonally

My clam appetizer was a little piece of heaven -- and I'm super fussy about clams. The shrimp were great as well. Blackened fish and chicken couldn't have been better, except there was way TOO MUCH food for us. Next time I'll just go for appetizers. Good wine list at very reasonable prices for the whites. Don't miss this if you're in Bend.

We went here for lunch after a day of skiing. It's about a ten minute drive from downtown Bend. Huge bonus that they have signs telling you where the place and parking lot are off the main road. Our server was fantastic. The pizzas took some time, which she apologized for. The food was awesome! I branched out and had the chicken pesto pizza. Tons of flavor, amazing crust. If i ever go back, I'd get a side of marinara sauce to dunk my crust in. The other pizza ordered was the one with sausage and had a kick of heat to it from the peppers (their most popular pizza). I ate the entire pizza. The last two slices or so were a challenge, but they were so good. If you're very hungry, I recommend getting your own. Also cooked to perfection. It's everything you want in a wood-fired pizza place. Living near good pizza (NYC metro area), I have high standards of pizza excellence, and this place meets all my expectations. The reviews are accurate in that it's the best pizza place in the area.

Starting with a perfectly prepared martini and appetizers, this place was wonderful. My black rice/chicken bowl was incredibly flavorful and more food than I probably needed after the hummus appetizer and salad. The service was very good, and the restaurant is pleasant and comfortable. The prices were very reasonable. In the future I think I might try the happy hour since they offered many of the same dishes at even better prices and nearly the same size dishes.

Loved this little house turned cafe. Serving Locally sourced American cuisine at an artful & comfortable eatery with a full bar & patio. It's warm and welcoming with great food and service. The weekend breakfast brunch crowd gets very busy but well worth the wait. The coffee is good and hot and served in large artisan pottery mugs( for sale too) and the Bloody Mary's options include house infused vodkas and fresh ingredients. The menu is varied enough there is something for everyone. I recommend the Samson - crab cake Benedict. Order quick they run out! The Med was awesome with crispy polenta and kalamata holandaise add side to you dishes like the bacon grits, cornmeal topped tomato, hearty spuds or roasted Brussels. The corned beef hash was exceleant with large tender pieces of beef and potatoes.
You'll be tempted by the sauces on the table but be warned the orange one is habanero! And it is hot

When you first walk into Spork, you should check the specials board. There are some repeat favorites such as the potato cakes that should find a permanent spot. This is a Super family-friendly destination. You order at the counter and then try to secure a table. Consider the spicy fried chicken and add a side of cucumber salad to cool it down! The restaurant does a great job with making dishes vegan such as reworking the lomo saltado.

I said we'd be back and indeed we did come back. Wonderful food and fun on a chilly January night. They were busy but we just went next door and played ping-pong for a half hour. The wait staff is exceptional, the manager came around and talked to everyone and was genuinely nice. The food was served rather quickly, it was amazing really. What we had- Curry Basil Noodles, Avacado with Prawns, Kabocha Curry, Tumeric Clams and See Klong Moo Tod. We shared everything and every dish I tasted I declared to be better than the last. If I could only order one... I guess it might be the Curry Basil Noodles, we had it with chicken. Go forth and EAT, play a little ping-pong too, it was fun.

Brother Jon's Public House

Reviewed By Sharon Slick R

After a long day of travel, we just wanted someplace with good food and after searching Trip Advisor we decided on Brother Jon's and it was a great decision. We had a bit of a wait, but it was Sunday night so not unexpected and it was totally worth it. I ordered the Mac and Cheese which came with a side salad both were excellent and I was unable to finish either so had some to take with me. My spouse ordered a burger which was juicy and full of flavor. I also had a drink, The Up Dog and it was one of the best drinks I've had out in a very long time. Service was great and prices were exceptional for the amount of food. If we ever go back to Bend, you can be sure we will stop in again.
