With 30 years cooking experience, the chef Dioni Ciria serves the best Altoaragonese cuisine recipes, combining traditional flavours with the latest trends. Game dishes are not to be missed, but El Fogaril offers many other specialities such as grilled meats, the freshest vegetables and seasonal mushrooms. All recipes are made using the finest locally grown produce. The highlights among the game dishes include loin of venison with truffle sauce and morels stuffed with foie gras, wild partridge stewed with onion, the venison steak served on red wine and blueberry jus or the crispy caramel stuffed with roe deer and local cheese with sweet and sour sauce and vegetable crudités. Steak lovers will enjoy at El Fogaril the tastiest lamb, beef and ox in the Valley. The chef also recommends asking for the legs of lamb Somontano style, the pork confit with potatoes and hazelnut praline with potatoes "panadera" style and apple compot or the lamb roasted in a wood burning oven.

I love this place
The chuleton de Benasque we had was out of this world
The starter of morcilla with wild mushroom was divine as well
The service was quick, polite and efficient
No one comes here for their Deserts but do try the arroz con leche as its a delicious traditional desert from the region
Definitely recommend this place!

Hemos vuelto al Bardanca a cenar. El menú a 12,50€ es inmejorable, buenas raciones, servicio atento.
El menú está a la vista en la calle, y el lugar es mucho más espacioso de lo que parece. Recomendable sin dudar.

La Parrilla in Benasque is a restaurant that may look basic, even to an extent eclectic, judged by its interior. Yet, this only means that they put the priorities on serving stellar food (and providing a good service), and not so much on interior design. I was astonished by the quality of my dish, which was a piece of meat of a high quality in a caramelized sauce. I will surely be back.

Just returned from the restaurant. Fantasic meal, great service, nice and cosy place. We shared for a starter the pasta with sausage from Graus, as main courses we had wild boar ragout and fillet of fallow deer. The dessert was tarta aragonesa con natillas de avellanas. Delicious! The waiter recommended a wine from the region by the name of Sed. What a great recommendation! A definite must when staying in Benasque. The bill came to just over 70 Euros. Very good value for money. We are in the Hotel Selba d'Ansils which is only a five minute walk from the restaurant. Also highly recommendable.

Viajamos tres amigos a esquiar a Cerler. Nos recomiendan dos restaurantes, El Rincón y La Picada. Del Rincón ya he opinado. Juantxo y Ana, agradables, profesionales, cercanos. Que os orienten, comida casera. Sin duda que volveremos.

While visiting Benasque, a friend invited us here. It was fabulous. I had the oven roasted lamb and it was delicious. I started with the lentil soup which was also fabulous. We drank the local wine, a somontaño and it was also great. Definitely worth going to. I should have had lunch there every day I was in Benasque!

This was a real find. I like the restaurants in Benasque in general; you get generous helpings of good food and friendly service in a lot of places. But this is definitely a cut above. A really gourmet meal: simple dishes, but with carefully balanced flavours and a personal style. The service was also very good, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
