Stopped in over the school holidays with a group of children with various likes, dislikes, allergies etc. There was something to suit everyone. Which was great, happy kids, happy lunch.
The ambiance is lovely and it was a great place to relax. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. The staff was very friendly.
The standout for me was the Chai Tea - the best I have had in awhile.

There really is a lovely atmosphere in this place. All the staff are so welcoming and warm. Our first night we shared a bottle of wine and the courgette fritters which were awesome. Everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked great so we decided to come back for our second and last night in Bellingen. I had a special salad and my husband had the burrito bowl. We enjoyed both and would come back here again if in Bellingen.

Not overly impressed with dinner. We were expecting a good curry but received an average curry. There was a lot of curry sauce in both our containers with very little meat. The naan was good though. A bit disappointed.

We develop our own recipes from scratch and our range includes both traditional flavours and flavours created by us. We also make gelato-based desserts (gelato cakes, banana splits, waffles, smoothies etc), and can custom-make flavours to meet your requirements, or using your ingredients. We can supply bulk gelato for events and parties or to caterers and restaurants. We have two shops and make gelato in both. The original Bellingen Gelato Bar (established 2006) is in Bellingen, northern NSW – and now also in Rozelle, Sydney (established 2014).

A happy family, we all enjoyed our gelato in the kitsch gelato bar.
The kids loved sitting in the booth, also outside looked lovely. Lots of great flavours can recommend the coffee and almond, cherry, strawberry and last but not least chocolate...our son thinks it’s the best in the world,

We have now eaten here three times over the past five years and the quality has been consistently good.
The quite extensive menu has some interesting choices and we were surprised at the very generous servings when the dishes were served by the friendly staff . The four dishes we enjoyed were of very good standard and we ate outside on a pleasant verandah, although the inside areas also looked very comfortable.

This is a wonderful place to visit with the cafe and the various shops.
I believe the Butter Factory dates back to 1926.
Started in the cafe and ordered the free range eggs fried that came with roasted tomato, toast and I added bacon. All up $15. Pretty good, hit the spot and got my day off to a nice start.
Lots of other brekky stuff of course like corn fritter stack, a brekky wrap, BLT, vegie burger, a coconut cacao smoothie bowl, ricotta pancakes, eggs any style including eggs benny, what they call ‘the lot’ plus a few others. Plus coffee and drinks throughout the day and there’s a separate lunch menu.
There’s inside Seating but for me the outside under cover dining area is the go.
Brekky is served from 8 am till 11.30 am.
Then it was off for my browse.
There’s several quaint shops with things like leather goods, home furnishings with a myriad of other home decorating items, an art gallery, jewellery, clothing, woodcraft, a shop with so much stuff jammed in there’s too much to mention and lots of small nic nacs and collectables here and there.
There’s a reasonable amount of parking with some shady spots and everything is in a lovely old world type setting.
Definitely a must visit when in the area.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Dorrigo National Park and ordered sandwiches and coffee. Service was friendly and efficient, and when the sandwiches arrived, we were in for a real treat! Everything was so fresh and delicious and the coffee was good, too. Really happy that we chose this restaurant!
