We had not been here for several years due to not so great service etc. in the past but decided to try it again. The atmosphere is GREAT, the Food was Wonderful, and a very pleasant waitress. Many lunch dinners to choose from at $9.99. We will be back again soon.

I'm rating "very good" because the hours are great for this small town and I'm happy they are open when they are. The baked goods are very good; bread, rolls and such. But they don't have donuts which I would expect from a bakery. They have scoop ice cream which is good. Older baked goods for just a donation (which is nice) They have basic groceries such as bread & milk. They also have beer & wine. It's nice to have in the area.

We needed a place to stay while visiting a dying family member at the hospital. So the no frills was fine with us. Simple basic room, a little small but clean and adequate. We stayed in room #1 which is at the far end of the hall, furthest from the bar area. Our room is also the coldest and the first night we did not realize there was a space heater in the room. It was a bit nippy at 55 degrees but the space heater the second night made it toasty warm. (The weather was 10 degrees above zero outside)
The floors are the original wood with carpet laid over, so the floors creak a bit. The bathroom had a tile floor and newer sink. Antique dresser, flat screen t.v. (Never turned it on), a small fridge and good wifi signal. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was not much as other reviewers mentioned. When we came out of room in the morning they were out of coffee and pastries and muffins...most things. The employee in charge was coming in at the same time and realized the breakfast was lacking. They quickly went to the nearby bakery to restock and got the coffee going. You are given two keys with your room. A key to your door and one to the front door of the hotel. My husbands front door key did not work. They said they would fix it and leave one in our room, but we didn't see one yet (end of day) The staff seems very accommodating and helpful. The disconnect may be due to the fact that it is not staffed 24/7 like most chain hotels. Ice is gotten from the bar downstairs. I felt like I was staying at my Grandmas, which is all good for me. I am not sure I would stay here alone as a single woman..but with my husband and daughter it was just fine. Recommend The Green Harp half a block South for breakfast!

Smyrna Bar & Restaurant

Our whole family went there for a birthday dinner on a Sunday night. We had a variety of foods, ranging from ribs (spectacular) to hamburgers (there are a lot of different burgs too). The waitress was very accommodating, moving tables and bringing crackers for our little ones before any other meals were out. We had such a great time, and when we were leaving we left a generous tip to the amazing waitress, our baby started throwing a fit while we were leaving, and she took special attention to interact and smile at him, which calmed him down. I would recommend anyone to go there, especially on a Sunday night. There's a wii and guitar hero too, so my husband could stay busy!

They have a great craft beer selection, but you can also get domestic if you like. They have a small but good bar food menu. So far everything I've got was good. Lots of room to have groups of friends. I haven't had a mixed drink yet... but I've seen others get them and they look good. There is pool tables, trivia night, darts and other events such as Bingo night. Service is alway friendly.

Came here with friends, we both had groupons. They had come a few weeks earlier with the groupon but did not use the then cause they are not redeemable with the daily specials that they got. We came on a Thursday night hamburger special night so we opted not for the burgers since our groupon would not work for the special. Yet I think each of us would have loved to have had the burger. Had the fish and chips, was good, but would have loved just having a burger they looked awesome. We won't bother with groupons here since they don't apply to specials or towards alcohol.

The Burrito Loco is my favorite. My daughter and I both ordered it for dinner, and I would have given it an excellent rating, but this dish is supposed to include beef, chicken, and shrimp in the burrito. While I had 6 shrimp in mine...my daughter didn't find a single one in hers.
