We were there on a family trip, and everybody from our rather picky family found something that they were happy with. That included gluten free, healthy, and traditional Hungarian food. The location was nice, too, despite the hot weather. The service was friendly, and there was even a cat! Would go back next time for sure!

We visited this restaurant after Reading the good reviews brought trip adviser. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing. We ordered the meat platter for 2 and it could have filled 3 people. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service impeccable. He red wine was also very tasty and relatively cheap. I would recommend this to anyone and we will be visiting again.

On a campsite but apart. Outside tables with oil lamps. Friendly staff--seemed to be a family concern. Beautiful freshly cooked lake fish. (speciality).Inside restaurant seemed to have acres of hungarian lace. Good for kids as they can go off and paly in the swing park.

We have revisited the Tompos restaurant, which is located in the outskirts of Keszthely, in a nice residential area. A lot of flowers around, fresh air, no noise, you can sit both inside and outside and enjoys the dishes, which are of good quality. The service was also very good and the prices reasonable.
Strengths: a) Year after year we visit this restaurant and we a glad to report that the quality is kept high; b) Paleo and normal daily menu are available at lunchtime, with good quality, proper variation and realistic prices.
Weaknesses: Limited or no availability of simple, but very tasty Hungarian dishes, such as “fözelék” and “lecsó”.
Recommendation: Include such simple dishes, on reasonable prices.
In summary: Highly recommended.

We decided to try this restaurant on the recommendation of the Pensione we were staying at. The menu provided a good selection and was translated in both English and German. The staff also spoke English. All of our meals were very tasty and the staff was nice. At the end of the meal they provided a complimentary shot of Hungarian Grappa, a nice surprise! There is a nice Seating area outside. If you are traveling with young children there is a children's menu as well as a small playground. We would definitely recommend a meal here.

It's a place you must visit if you are in Keszthely. We eat there with my wife and it was magnificent. The price is okay. We will return if we will be is Keszthely once more.
Egy hely amit nem szabad kihagyni, ha Keszthelyen jár az ember. A hely és az ételek tökéletesek. A kiszolgálás kifogástalan. Hangulatos, csendes, nyugodt hely.

Nice Italian style restaurant not in the downtown but close to it. Unfortunately the car parking is not free of charge.
The restaurant is a typical Italian restaurant offering mainly pizzas and pasta. The pasta is homemade and the thin pizza is made in a wood stove. The service is more than polite and helpful.

We traveled all the way from France to Hungary by bike. We were very happy to have found this little oasis - the Komáromy Pizzeria in Gyenesdiás. The restaurant is right on the beach and easy to find. Here we ate the best pizza on the Balaton, had a nice chat with the friendly staff and could relax from our long cycling days. Thank you for this delicious meal!!!
