Pigro is a tyipcal Italian restaurant. Our interaly homemade meals came from the traditions of differents regions of Italy, but mostly from the northern ones, where our chef's born. The place is meanted to be like a typical Italian "trattoria", where good food, music and a warm aura are melted to make you experience a taste of Italy.

This is the perfect place to come with a group because unlike many Ecuadorian restaurants, Pigro manages to serve the entire party and pretty much the same time. The pastas a delicious and the house red wine is really good. I've had ravioli, lasagne and fettuccine which were all large portions and really tasty. Don't fill up on the house bread even it is great. The ambiance is cheerful bohemian and there's great people watching. All in all, it's good all the components for a great dining experience in Montnita.

Had the pleasure of trying this little restaurant for dinner with the family. It's not much to look at but what they lack in general decor they more than make up in their cooking! It's a like of the main drag which actually makes it a more pleasant experience to dine. Kids were playing in the street without getting swamped by the troll of tourist everywhere which my 2 year old really enjoyed. We ordered a chorrellana de pescado and a chicken tallarin. I had the pescado. Te tomato white wine reduction sauce was exceptional with a light delicate flavor that complemented the fresh corvina very well. My wife really enjoyed the tallarin (noodles in sit sauce), the thought the dish was delicious. We washed them down with a few mojitos which were the ideal level of sweetness. Overall a great experience which I strongly recommend.

We really enjoyed our tasty fish on the beach at Panchitas. We had one pescado la plancha, and one pescado vapor. They were both delicious. May be best place in Ayangue on the malecón.

We serve amazing Lunches at $3, Unforgettable Vegan Cakes and Brownies at $1 , Vegan Pizzas and Empanadas at $1. Everyday we develop new recipes and we are located on the beachfront of Montanita , next to the river. Blessings to all!

Such sweet people, great food! I love the cheese sauce... what an amazing treat to find in Ecuador. The almuerzo is the best and most tastiest deal in Montañita. I have been here everyday of my trip.... and I'll definitely be back! So much love thankyou!
