This is a family owed and operated restaurant, Mum, Dad and children all work there plus others. The food was well prepared and presented well. I had veal and my wife and daughter had steak, all meals were very good and reasonably priced. Get there early or book up beforehand hand otherwise you won’t get a seat. Say hello to Gill (the Dad) he is a lovely guy and very chatty (so it might take a while) but he will look after you that is certain

It's a Starbuck's, just what you'd expect. They do have an exceptional air conditioning set-up. Staff were friendly and swift.

This is an early 1900's building where the original charm has been maintained. The wood banister, the wood pharmacy cabinets and the entire atmosphere is perfect. I stopped by for breakfast and a latte. The panini breakfast sandwich was the best I have ever eaten.

Great place to eat in a great atmosphere.

Mike's Pizza

Even in small towns with just a couple restaurants, there's always a pizza place.

Mike's pizza is of medium thickness but the crust is super crispy. The "salad bar" was lettuce, a handful of toppings and a couple of dressings. It was messy so we passed. They serve Coke and Pepsi products along with half a dozen beers on tap.

Interior is a bit worn and loud with the arcade games but the pizza was a pleasant surprise.

Glad I ordered only the small biscuit and gravy, still didn't make it all the way! My husband had the omelette and hash browns. One of the few places to make really good sausage gravy and perfect hash browns . Awesome waitress too. We had a very nice time, early breakfast when not much else open. Gave us the chance to stroll through town and check everything out. Ready to go back again soon.

Service was slow. On a holiday Sunday would have expected more staff. I had a reservation weeks ahead but still had to wait to have a table set up in a rest that was half empty.

The wine list is limited to some local wines. Many wineries in the area and they only have a small selection. And at 30-50 a bottle, seems too expensive.

My husband often orders nachos, which they had on the menu. Our server asked if he had ever tried Chilaquies. He's often game to try new dishes, and he was quite happy with his meal. In addition to being tasty and attractive, it was just the right amount of food. Fewer chips, more other stuff. I had a carnitas enchilada ala carte, which was delicious.

The Far East Chinese Restaurant in Angels Camp,CA was a nice and inviting place to have dinner out of the rain. We(my husband & I) were greeted with friendliness and seated by a helpful waitress. We chose individual plates: 1) pawns & pea pods and 2) broccoli beef that were accompanied by pork fried rice and chicken chow mien, soup, a spring roll and a large won ton. All of the dishes were delicious. The waitress let us substitute hot & sour soup for the egg flower soup which I really appreciated. The sauce for the spring roll was not real sweet which was also delicious. All in all, our dinner experience was great.

Returning from Mercer Cavern, we decided to have a late lunch. I had read that they have good Chile rellenos, they were right. Very good taste, texture, and appearance. What I didn't expect was how good the salsa was. Very good taste and pretty hot. Our very nice server said there was a hotter one. Not sure if I could go that route. Nice staff, neat looking place, smells like food cooking. Stop in and enjoy.

Rodz Grille

While visiting our national parks with teen grandchildren our last stop was Angels Camp. When feeding teens you hope for a good deal that is not fast food. We found it at Rodz Grille. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner around the clock! The grandparents took a portion of their senior meals home, but the teens cleaned their plates and talked about an order of pancakes! Everything was tasty. The restaurant was not full, but the service was a bit slow. Our server was delightful and seemed to know the local clientele.
