The best food ever! Visited many times last three years. The staff is very polite and good. Seafood is always fresh! Amazing desserts! This is a popular and friendly restaurant in the main strip of Ouranpoli. It was recommended by our hotel and we agreed and ended up eating there twice. Wonderful, huge salads, good lamb and seafood. They end it gracefully by bringing out a free dessert. We took the grapes,which were the most flavorful grapes I ever ate.

simple taverna by the beach at the end of the village. Locals eat there while all other tavernas are empty.
We had four meals there three very good ones with fresh red mullets fried like only the greeks can do, and one disastrous one with lobster. It was my fault (and it's not affecting this review) the waiter told me the lobster was frozen but I did not ask how many years back that was and how many times was it defrosted and frozen again!! The meat was hard as a rock and stuck to the shell, just plain horrible.
Good and genuine place if you stick to the fresh fish of the day, with the bonus of beautiful sunsets.

i felt sorry for them as they were empty.they adverstised liverebetiko music ,homemade food , goat, delicacies so i convinced my partner that, ok, we had amazing food at jannis the night before, let's help the guy
we asked whetherthere would be music-being a monday.they said yes so we sat. a boy was practicing for 15 minutes trying to sort his baglamas out and left
we ordered
one beer-hot as tea
one retsina
one tomato salad-worst ever as if there are no tomatos in Greece in the summer
one 'traditional' eggplant on barbeque-which was so obviously re heated on microwave, spongy and elastic
one portion fried courgettes-smelly and oily ,bad reused sort of corn oil
one portion chips- frozen/prefried!!!!!!!!
the bread was at least 55 years old
the people behind us(only 2 tables with customers) were feeding the cats with their order-souvlaki, hamburgers etc but thank God we only had the disgusting things we did.we asked for the bill having touched practically nothing paid 36 euros for this rubbish and left
they did not even bother to ask why
i should have sent all dishes back as they were unacceptable
do not go there

Great place with excellent food and service. You should try everything from the menu for sure don't miss the octopus in red wine and the Athos fish recipe. Portions are huge. Make a reservation though as apart from guests, loots of local people go there for dinner.

Before visiting Mt Athos we spent a day in Ouranopolis and for dinner we luckily choose to stop here avoiding those very touristy restaurants on the seafront.. We had the best stuffed calamari I tasted in Greece in the last 3 travels! Plus great wine and attentive service. Do not miss if you stop for a night in town.

After a lot of swimming in the beautiful beach everybody needs some rest in the shadow and some finger foods.kosta kosta offers great pizza with truffle and mozzarella and delicious carbonara.also Caesar salad and club sandwiches.the only reason it doesn't take a five star is the lack of desserts and the lack of sea food.the beer plate was also average and the service totally inadequate

Service is manic with the waiters running, bumping into my chair on several occasions and shouting across the restaurant to one another. Tables are close together and we have never been in such a smokey restaurant - not their fault but you can actually taste the cigarette smoke. I was not charged for my meat in Madeira sauce which was inedible - tasting overwhelmingly of salt and Bisto. The best things about the place is the location and view if you get an outer table. How this gets good ratings is beyond us - best avoided.

Arriving at the restaurant you see many high-end cars and you think you fell in a tourist trap. However their food is magnificent, their quality is unbeatable, the service is great and the view is breathtaking.
