Good sized portions at reasonable prices. Food was fresh and hot. Service was fast and friendly. Daily specials save you a dollar off the regular price. We all had the special of the day, a Country Burger. Came fully loaded with the House Special Sauce and large cut fries and a soda. The menu offers both burgers and Chinese food. Saw someone that ordered some Chinese food, looked and smelled very good and was on a huge platter. The kids liked all the super hero memorabilia. May need to eat here again.

Stopped in this cake shop on my way out of town based on the recommendation from the staff at Holiday Inn Express. The ladies working were very friendly and loved the cookies! Be sure to check this place out when in Alvarado.

Typical Dairy Queen. Counter person was friendly. My order came out exactly as I asked for it. Decent burgers & fries. My favorite is the Steak Finger Basket with gravy.

This place has a great juicy burger with very good french fries, but even better than this is the rolls they bring to the table! Oh my gosh, so soft and buttery, they are great! I have been to this place just once, but i will go back to try a steak and have some more of those rolls!

Very good dinner with the family. Food was hot and fast and with very good flavor. We had four different items and all were very good. Prices are average for Chinese food. They serve buffet at lunch everyday and dinner on weekends. We will be here for two weeks and will eat here again.

We stopped here on a whim on the way back from a business trip. At first site, we were skeptical, but quickly learned it was worth it. They have home made tortillas, and all other food was very fresh. The prices were unreal (cheap) for the huge portions you receive. You are offered a free margarita or beer with a purchase of $5 only! Free wifi is available and the service was good. It's definitely an outdated place and could use some updating, but overall, great value.

We enjoyed eating here. The waitresses were friendly & accommodating to my disabled husband. The homemade bread was very good. My husband had the spicy shrimp alfredo, while I had the grilled pork chop with mashed potatoes, brown gravy & fried okra. Everything was hot & appeared fresh. There is Italian, Mexican & American food on the menu. We would return.

Once again made the mistake of going here. Last time stuck in drive thru 32 minutes. This time just passed the 20 min mark. Food is usually good if you can tolerate the LONG waits.
In all fairness, they usually always get the order correct and it tastes good.

Was in Alvarado on business for several days and used the Chicken Express drive-thu frequently as dining options are limited in this small town. The food is quick and good for a chain - regional in focus but pretty well done. Service ok.

I ordered an italian sandwich, for supper. It honestly, blew me away! The freshness, and taste were superb. Up to this point , I had only ordered pizzas from domino's, not anymore. The bread, sausage, peppers, and onions, all added up to a delightful culinary symphony of flavors. Please give the sandwiches a try, you will not be disappointed!
