The Doo-Bop Bar is a three-level live music venue in the heart of Brisbaneâs CBD. Over 70 live music performances each month with our Piano Bar events, Jazz Bar events and Late Night Jam sessions.

We went to a show and dinner here in the basement bar. The ambience is great, the service was amazing and we were stunned that the food was so good! It's definitely very good value for a 2 course fine dining meal and show. You may want to check out the musicians though, as the modal jazz on offer was not our thing. Totally rookie error as we were expecting a French Quarter or Frenchman's Street type evening of entertainment. Hopefully this is on offer at other times and maybe is, in the bar upstairs but obviously modal jazz aficionados were in syncopated discordant heaven. The food however ensured we still had an enjoyable evening and we'll certainly give it another try.Thank you for taking the time to review us, we are very please you enjoyed your meal and hope to see you back in Doo-Bop again soon. Pleasant new location with plenty of room, especially between the tables. Staff all friendly and helpful. The ocean trout was really good but the vegetables disappointing. The croquettes were a little heavy and filling and needed a little greenery to brighten them up. The chocolate bomb was excellent and the presentation fun. I am glad we shared one as it was rich but really good. Also enjoyed a bottle of wine from a fairly expensive wine list and it would be nice to see a BYO wine option.

We were a group of 20 and had a dedicated room for dinner. The set menu had four choices for each of entree, main and dessert - all high calibre but described in esoteric language rather than plain English!Everyone enjoyed their meal, the wines were excellent, and the desserts exquisite, although half the diners had left by the time dessert was served more than 2.5 hours after our arrival.Hi, Thank-you for taking the time to review us. We are glad you had a delicious meal however we will pass your comments about the slow service on. We hope that you visit us again soon for another great feast.

My business partner and I treated one of our staff to his ideal Friday lunch (a great steak) and we were not disappointed - you know it's good when you're still thinking about the taste/flavour of everything you ate on Saturday morning! Charlie is brilliant - I've been served by him before on previous visits and yet again, he was of great assistance to me as a meat novice! I absolutely love the decor and being in a beautiful antique building - how I loathe the usual soulless surrounds of a modern restaurant. I'll be returning for sure every chance I get. From a work perspective, it's perfect for a carnivorous business lunch - but I imagine equally so just for a relaxed great meal.Hi,Thank you so much for your fantastic review.
