This is a recently open restaurant at the central market place in Erbach. The food was very well prepared and there was plenty of it. As typical for Greek food meat dishes dominate the menue. But also the starters were convincing and tasty. I particularly liked the good-humored staff. Finally there is very good value for money.

During our Neckar bycicle tour we stopped in Eberbach and were very pleased to have found this place in the old town.There are great value dishes at lunch on offer that are tasty, sufficient to feed hungry people and look great.Additional to the KOS and Mykonos plate we had a lamb dish from the regular menu. All were very good and we would choose them again.When visiting in July 2016 we decided to come back when close by.

Das Restaurant âDer Griecheâ ist nicht der typische Grieche um die Ecke wie man ihn landauf und landab findet. Hier wird zwar auch griechisch gekocht .... aber halt nicht die überladenen Grill-Teller mit Namen aus der griechischen Götterwelt serviert. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich, biete aber trotzdem eine sehr gute Auswahl und Vielfalt. Die Weinkarte ist ebenfalls breit gefächert, könnte aber für mein empfinden etwas mehr offene Weine enthalten. Da wir bei unserem Besuch zu dritt waren, stellte sich die Frage aber nicht .... da musste eine Flasche her. Wir hatten einen einfachen Sangiovese gewählt, der sehr gut zum Essen passte und für einen Samstag Nachmittag auch nicht zu âviele Umdrehungenâ hatte. Als Vorspeise hatte ich die Jakobsmuscheln mit Buttersauce ... traumhaft, selten so gute Jakobsmuscheln gegessen. Als Hauptgang hatte ich die Lammkrone mit Limonen-Knoblauch-Olivenöl und Rosmarin-Drillingen .... ebenfalls sehr lecker. Meine Begleiter hatten Dorade, bzw. HähnchenspieÃe .... auch hier gingen die Daumen nach oben. Das Ambiente passt ebenfalls. Weiss gestrichene Wände, keine Bilder, kein Schnickschnack. Sehr schön eingedeckte Tische und eine dezente Beleuchtung. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und kompetent.Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

I had been told this restaurant was the regular go-to place for our hiking group when ending a hike in Eberbach. After reading some reviews on the Internet, I was not sure the choice was good.To make it short: we were 12 people and many of them stated how amazing the food was without me prompting them for their opinion. Service was friendly and efficient, all food and drink orders were executed correctly, and all dishes were excellent: tzatziki, appetizer plates, fried aubergines, Greek salad, salad with chicken strips, chicken breast with fries, gyros with fries, the oven-baked pasta with minced meat, even the Greek-style flammkuchen. At the end the owner came at the end to inquire how everything had been.The one thing missing to make the event perfect would have been the usual ouzo on the house.

Located right in the centre of the old town, this Greek restaurant offers typical food at large portions for a decent price. The service was friendly, very good and quick.
