Tasty very tasty food, traditional flavours, surely one to take guests to experience real Greek kitchen. So why 4/5? Because of parking nightmare. Absolutely NO parking anywhere even a bit near. Really really pleased we found this restaurant which is sort of tucked away and suffered from current roadworks outside at the moment. Itâs traditional Greek cuisine in an atmospheric environment and lots of nice touches and although it was empty when we arrived in a Tuesday night it started to fill as the evening progressed. We order a platter and some sides and the food came well presented, delicious in and on fun crockery. Really liked the place and good service and nice music being played. Definitely recommended.

Simple decoration: you feel like you are in a modern cafeteria...! The food was tasty however the presentation needs some improvement. The pork was really tender and tasty but little on the sweet side due to the sauce. I liked the desert cheese cake with Kadayif... the service was excellent and very polite waiters. The prices were average: plates around 10 eur. I recommend the place. To visit.

We went as a group of four for lunch. We ordered various dishes like kebab, souvlakia, shieftalia etc. Food was good, maybe not exceptional, but it was cheap and that made it value for money. A good choice overall.

Located in the shopping district of Nicosia, Kathodon is a traditional Greek taverna and offers excellent authentic Cypriot cuisine and great service. We tried several dishes (mezedes) and enjoyed every dish, including stuffed grape leaves, grilled chicken and pork kebabs, Kleftiko,Haloumi, homus, tzatziki, grilled sausage, soutzoukakia and salads. The atmosphere was friendly and the Owner/mamanger went out of his way to show his hospitality. kathodon will be the first restaurant to visit, on our next trip to Nicocia!

Even though Nicosia is not a touristy place, the cluster of restaurants in Lidras street and its immediate vicinity comes closest to a tourist hub and seems to have variable quality and authenticity. I visited this one on a late summer evening and it was only filled with local guests, which to me is a very good sign. The food itself was great, tasty, tender, juicy, simple but of really good quality. Do not expert talkative waiters or fancy desserts, this is a place to enjoy souvlaki and other traditional fare with no fuss, no rush, in the light breeze coming from the lively pedestrian street (as pointed out by other contributors, the entrance is on Onasagorou, a few paces south of the Avo restaurant). Count about 10 euros for a copious dish and a drink.

If you want to taste Greek food this place is ideal. The quality of most of the dishes that we ordered ranged from very good to excellent and the prices were, on the whole, reasonable. However, the ventilation of the place needs to be looked at, as one's clothes are left with a not so pleasant smell of food.

This restaurant does one course only: a table full of mezze. A lot of mezze, and really a lot of it! different veggies, fried zucchini, tahini, yoghurt, salad, four kinds of meat, fries, potatoes, rice.. And all of good fresh homemade quality for about 25 euros each. Nice chardonnay from Cyprus. And despite of the comment before this one: it is no waste at all, because they kindly ask you if you want to take the rest home with you, gave us two aluminium boxes and a bag. So we'll have enough lunch and dinner for tomorrow. Well done, Zanettos!

I've only been there twice with work cause they were buying us dinner, wouldn't go again myself. In general the restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, excellent service and everything looks elegant. If you want to impress and don't mind the bill, this is a good place to do it. Food quality both times was average with the exception of a huge fish they brought at the end. I mean fried Molluscs tastes the same where ever you go but they cost way more here. Not sure if there were grilled options since our boss picked the food.

While out on a tour of Nicosia we were looking for somewhere to have a bite to eat. After looking for a recommended eatery, we chose this lovely restaurant.While it is lovely inside, we chose to sit outside in the good sized eating area.After ordering our drinks we perused the very inviting menu. I had the large chicken souvlaka while other members of my family had chicken souvlaka in pitta bread or other versions of souvlaka.All the food was well cooked and presented and was extremely tasty and filling. The portion sizes are very good without being too much.Coming from London, I found the prices to be very reasonable.All in all, all 5 of us were very pleased, and we range in age from 30-80's.I would have no problem in heartily recommending this restaurant.
