If you're the type that likes 'old fashioned German food' eg schnitzel with pommes and vegetables, and furniture that hasn't been replaced since the early '80, then you might want to consider. We were here for a birthday last year which is the only reason we stayed... In all honesty, the food wasn't bad. It's just not what we normally eat and like

We've stayed at the hotel's suite for an weekend and we have got good experience with hotel and restaurant. Suite was clean, comfortable with relaxing green zone.We liked breakfast at hotel restaurant especially on Sunday also dinner was excellent for us.

This is a well located restaurant. Expect here food from the german kitchen: schnitzel with fries. Good but not stunning. We were seated in the "patio" nice with the autumn sun. Service was quick. Met with my expectations and price quality wise an excellent choice

We came here on a sunday morning , beautiful weather to have kaffee & kuchen. Fresh pastries only come in after 4 pm (on sunday?) so we settled for cappucinno. Great reasonable price 3⬠pp There was a concurrent party but we were welcomed by the staff

Ein gutes griechisches Restaurant. Sehr freundliches Ambiente. Guter Service und freundliche Bedienung. Die Gyrosplatte war köstlich, das Gyros wirklich sehr gut. Vorweg gab es Tarama mit leckerem und frischen Brot. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können das Apollon wirklich sehr empfehlen.

Located 300m from the old town centre. Lively and family run. Simple unsophisticated grub, and plenty of it. Very busy - when we phoned we were told they were full, but our hotel was able to book us a table for 4 at the time we wanted (and then it was definitely full!!).Service was a bit slow, but given the place was packed it was not surprising.

From the outside this restaurant, located on the site of the Merzbrück Airport, is unsightly and you do not expect much. On the inside however, this is a full-fledged restaurant with a small terrace at the rear and a wide glass extension from where you have a nice view on the aircraft. The restaurant offers a hot three-course lunch menu (with a number of choices for the main course) for a very reasonable price, and this is certainly worth it. There were a lot op people so we were not the only one who liked this. The quality of the food is good. Given the crowds there was too little staff, but the waiting times were acceptable. Probably the area is for most people not very attractive, but for an inexpensive yet tasty hot lunch This is certainly recommended.

We had a 4-courses menu at Alte Feuerwache. The staff was nice and attentive. From the starters to dessert, everything was perfect. Especially the main course (beef tenderloin) was so tender and delicate I could probably have a second portion. The portion for starters is actually too big but in the end my husband and I were full but didn't feel like overeaten. The restaurant has its own parking lot across the street which is very convenient. I also like the open kitchen very much. While waiting for our next course we could watch the staff in the kitchen, seeing how food was cooked and prepared. It smelled so good the whole evening. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.
