Well I only stayed for one night and it was fine, room clean and everything worked, did not have dinner only breakfast which was ok but not memorable.Prefer a more solid pillow.Staff were great and I had no problems, however it is a little way from the lake which was a pain.

This is a nice hotel and restaurant on the Bodensee. Wonderful location on the sea and adjacent to the Birnau monastery. The serve local foods and Birnau white wine from right outside their window. Especially nice in summer and is an out of the away quite place. If you like biking this is a great starting place. Rooms are nice and food that's local and original.

We went here with the family. Whether you have teenagers or your parents, are a meat eater or vegan, the chef is very flexible and happy to adopt the meal to your preference. The vegan dish was delicious, the portions are pretty large. Great food, friendly service, family run restaurant!

We ate with a family of three, chateuabriand for the adults, and chicken nuggets for the boy.Chateuabriand was very good and well made! It came with two choices of sauce, very good ones. The meat was done very good. Only thing is the vegetables, as normal in Germany. There were most likely frozen melted carrot etc., so nothing to match the steak.Chicken nuggets were, ummm...., chicken nuggets. Just what we ordered.Service was good with a lot a waitresses.Recommended, if you stay in Uhdlingen-Mühlingen.

Kleines Restaurant direkt am See und die Sonne bis zum Schluss. Nur eine ganz kleine Karte aber sehr lecker. Diese gerollten Brote mit Fisch oder anderen Zutaten waren mehr als lecker, der Service (junger Mann) mehr als freundlich. Gerne wieder.

This was our second meal at the restaurant. Weâd eaten there a year earlier with our family. This plus the fact theyâve been in business for 125 years speaks volumes! The staff is friendly and speaks a bit of English. Unlike many of the other restaurants in the area Storchen(Stork in English) has some menus in English for non-German readers. When weâve been there the restaurant was full of locals. On this visit we ate the following: Udlinger Filettopfchen, pork fillets, with mushroom sauce on home-made cheese Spätzle(amazing stocky noodle) and the pork back steak with pepper cream sauce on home-made Spätzle. Both dishes, the pork could be cut with a fork it was so tender and the Spätzle was amazing! We could certainly recommend both. From last year until this year we have not found a dish our family did not like! For Americans the âgarden saladâ is a bit different. The plate comes loaded with a couple of varieties of lettuce; additionally there was a carrot salad, potato salad, radish salad, and a soured purple cabbage salad. All palate pleasers!In July and August it is better to make a reservation as MANY locals eat in the restaurant. In the summer ask for the veranda seating to enjoy the garden. They offer an extensive beer and wine menu including a number of local wines. Compared to restaurants in the highly touristic areas prices were quite reasonable. If you have children, Storchen is quite kid friendly with a corner of kid's toys to occupy the young customers and a children's buffet with kid friendly foods.Yes, if weâre in the area, we will eat at Storchen again!

We ate here a couple of times. A good range of typical German fare, large portions, reasonable prices. The beer was also good and very reasonably priced - especially after Italy! The local Spätzle, home made noodles, were especially good.

This Restaurant is located great especially if you happen to visit in the Spring or Summer. Just next to terrace there is a playground for the kids.The food was very basic German cuisine. Nothing to travel miles for. I would recommend the Maultaschen.

Its a very good option near pfahlbauten, lake constans beach. They have large seating options. Service is especialy prompt by friendly staff. Food tastes really good. Ingredients are fresh. Quantities are moderate. Prices are moderate. They have children special menu.

Amazing stuff, delicious and fresh meals, great fisch, quick and professional. Must have.We have choose this place for a lunch after Tripadviser reading - only that we can say, it was unexpactable great time there. The young man (sadly can not remember the name) is one of the best waiters which I ever saw.
