....we stumbled upon this lovely restaurant whilst staying at a nearby campsite and what a find it turned out to be. We were greeted by very welcoming staff who could not have done enough for us. After struggling with our German we were offered menus in English and then went on to enjoy some of the best German cuisine we had experienced on our holiday and great value as well !!I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any one who might find themselves in the area and really hope that we will be able to get back there again soon.

We have ben here for a business lunch and also for brunch. There is always a peaceful atmosphere supported by a varied miday menu and pleasant staff. At lunch time the mini desserts are wonderful, just enough to be able to enjoy the taste without being overloaded

Nach einer langen Wanderung kamen wir zur Burgschenke. Gleich würden wir nett begrüÃt und hatten bald die Getränke a d Tisch! Zum Essen hatten wir Schwiegermutter Schnitzel, badisches Dreierlei und Salat mit Shrimps.Mit Ausnahmen des Salats alles sehr gut und groÃe Portionen. Wir kommen wieder!

During a visit to this town, we enjoyed a very fine dinner here. Service was friendly (the kind where one is greeted by handshake) and efficient. The food to the most part was delicious. The "Vorspeisenteller" featured plentiful selections and was beautifully presented. I followed it with the Steinpilzravioli I ordered was very tasty and the mushrooms' distinctive taste was well preserved. My friend found her main dish somewhat disappointing, especially the Brägele (roast potatoes without bacon and onions but they were not roasted particularly beautifully). The selection of local wines to accompany dinner was lovely.

Die Rösti sind super, aber ein Kartoffel Restaurant ohne selbstgemachten Kartoffelsalat, das geht eigentlich gar nicht. Und was isst man zur Kartoffel oder zu den Rösti? Die Steaks sind bestenfalls mittelmäÃig, mein Steak war dünn, klein und durchgebraten, obwohl es als medium bestellt wurde.Die Einrichtung entspricht einem Vereinslokal, da sollte man nichts erwarten. Ein Geheimtipp ist das sicher nicht.

war alles, was wir probiert haben. Kann man empfehlen. Insbesondere lohnt ein Gang durch den Ort bis zu der sehr schönen Kirche und der ausgefallenen Gedenkstätte.

The owners, Stefan and Hannelore are very friendly and speak English, steaks are very good and reasonably priced and naturally the beers are excellent. There is self catering accommodation in two apartments above the restaurant, ours was immaculate. The building dates back to the 16th century. Well recommended

Bar /Resturant attached to its hotel. The staff are very friendly and very helpful to make sure you enjoyed your time at the restaurant.Menu is nice and simple and covers all taste buds of your average family.
