When we first entered, i admit, we weren't quite sure if we entered a pub or a restaurant. It isn't very large inside and chances are you share a table, but it gives off a real rustic and authentic feel of a typical family business with loads of locals coming for their beverages and food. The card is very small and you might not find huge meat dishes, but what you will find is very good "South Tyrolean Bacon/Ham" and one of the best "Tyrolean dumplings" we had. The atmosphere surely did its part to the tastiness! The price was also very affordable. They also sever some larger stuff like ribs but apparently only if ordered in advance. The staff was very friendly and happy to explain the beverages and dishes. They produce their own wine.

A fronte di una passeggiata sulla roggia che da Tiss-Laces arriva a Ciardes e che consiglio, ci siamo fermati a pranzare in questa bellissima struttura (fa anche da albergo). Sulla balconata con panorama sui meleti abbiamo optato per i classici canederli anche se il menù aveva molteplici scelte.Dopodichè semifreddo nocciola e mousse al cioccolato entrambe molto guarnite ed impiattate da professionista.Costi accessibili, lo consiglio per chi si trovasse in zona

It seems this is The Place to be on Friday night when in Naturno. It was full and the place is quite big and live music was on with dancefloor full. The music was traditional Tyrolian tunes. Food was really good - from pizza, through traditional meat to fantastic desserts and local wines and beers. It was served very fast and staff spoke English. Cannot expect any better in this village.

A very impressive little bar on the road up the Schnalstal in the Südtirol/ Alto Adige. Itâs just off the main road at the turning for Karthaus. Beautiful setting and very quirky. Ideal for cyclists

One can only recomend the Schwein haxe at Bierkeller. It is suplime and goes well with a large Forst-beer. The restaurant is very cozy and in a warm evening U can sit outsite under the glittering lights. Something one must try.Very tyrolean.

Wir waren bei kühlem und regnerischen wetter im Pfossental unterwegs und sind hier gelandet, weil uns der Eishof zu voll und zu touristisch war. Wir saÃen in der kleinen Gaststube, urig eingerichtet mit angefeuertem Kachelofen, Bergfeeling pur. Kaiserschmarrn und Speckplatte super lecker, alles richtig gemacht.

Really an experience to remember. We love authentic old wood interiors and wholes cottages and this is the case. You will find an excellent service provided by restaurant renter ( the owner is Mr. Messner), simple but delicious food including sweets which you get nowhere else (e.g. Vinschger Schneamilch) and a tasty wine from R. Messner. There is absolutely to trust that all the food and the wine come from in-house production. At last you can see by own eyeball all the animals, the kitchen herbs and spices and the grapevine on farm next door. Additional we had good luck as we met d.R.Messner and got easy his autograph. He is really a nice man whom we respect not only for his sports results in former times but also for all his todays work.

Typical Tyrolean food with dumplings and everything else you expect. Reasonable down to earth quality and not fancy. The service was friendly but a bit slow, maybe we were quite late in the day during shoulder season. If you drive up, be prepared for a narrow winding road with some potholes. Go slowly. It can be done in a regular car.

Make sure and call ahead as this restaurant is always busy because the view of the valley is breathtaking and the food preparation and service are unmatched. Any of the beef dishes are delicious. Meal prices are moderate and the quality of the food makes this a real value.
