This is a lovely unspoilt area and the conversion of this former school is a perfect place for a restaurant and accommodation. We stayed for two nights. The first evening we had the standard menu and the second we had the 5 course menu. The food was well presented and good quality with some interesting and attractive ideas. The building is simply refurbished with nice decorative items in tune with the school theme. Our accommodation was on two levels with the sleeping area up a steep staircase. It was simply furnished. Overall it was an enjoyable stay but I think that the charges are a bit expensive for what it was. It is unsatisfactory at a place like this to have trolleys with dirty linen and other cleaning material left at the bottom of the stairs to guest rooms for almost 24 hours. It was really distasteful and shows poor attention to detail.

Schon beim Eintreten waren wir überrascht, dass das Lokal schon sehr gut besucht war - und das an einem gewöhnlichen Montagabend. Sehr reiches Angebot an verschiedensten Süss- und Salzwasserfischen. Zum Beginn eine sehr aromatische Fisch-Soljanka. Danach folgte eine perfekt zubereitete, wunderbar saftige Maischolle grösseren Kalibers bzw. ein gemischter Fischteller für meine Begleiterin. Sehr umsichtige Bedienung, riesengrosse Portionen und ein exzellentes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ganz prima das alles!

As we went for touring around town of Lychen on my birthday, one of the plans is to have our afternoon coffee here as recommended . This place is so warm and homey inside with the lovely interior designs. We ordered diff type of cakes and they taste really good coupled with hot coffee/chocolate so perfect for a cold weather. This kaffee is worth visiting

I had to dine on my own since I was on a business trip and stayed in the Hotel am Ring. I donât normally enjoy sitting by myself in a restaurant. This restaurant had a great atmosphere,though: Quiet, relaxed and very efficient service. I didnât feel strange at all. The waiters were very polite, professional and extremely well spoken. It was the right mixture of gentle conversation and leaving you to enjoy your meal. The menu lists accompaniments and meat separately, so I could create my own combination. I like that. Against all odds, I even stayed long enough for desert! The chocolate soufflé is divine! The waitress couldnât tell me why the place apparently had the wrong genderDas Krauthof! But I thoroughly recommend a visit!

An einem Feiertag sind wir ohne Reservierung ins Lokal und das Personal bat uns 15 min später zu kommen, dann wäre ein Tisch für uns frei. So war es .... und auch ein richtig schöner Tisch. Hier hat man einen freien Blick auf den See. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Speisen sind bodenständig, groÃzügig und deutsch.

This is a habitué restaurant along the inner path of the city wall. There are a couple of well-appointed rooms inside and an outside patio. I had super fresh fried cod with vegetables and a portion of Swedish almond cake. Both were very good. Service and prices are OK.

We had 8 guests with kids and service was overwhelmed due to lack of experience. Apertizer was overcomplicated in weird constellation where no flavor was complementary to each other. Main dishes were prepared below any standard. Most dishes were burned in oil which made poor presentation and made them in essence uneatable. Exception was stake that arrived 10 min late but was cooked well. Overal cheff lacks skills and no taste to handle such complex menu. Too bad as town desperately needs decent place to eat.

There is absolutely no reason to miss out on this specialty Flammkuchen. In a small passage the restaurant lies like a little hidden quiet oasis. Interior will give you the feel of the old traditional restaurant it is. They use local products on thin bread that is baked in the oven. It's somewhat like small thin pizzas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stop here either for lunch or dinner.

The building is great: an old factory that is now a cinema and restaurant, re-desighed with a lot of taste. We could eat outside in the garden: very nice atmosphere.On the menu everything was apetizing: the food follows the seasons, the meat is mainly bio and comes from the neighborhood. The dishes were original, not tipycal from what you find in this part of Germany. Also the wine was good. The staff was nice. It was just perfect. They had a menu for 21 euro, the first dish was between 7-9 euro, and a main dish between 12-15 euro.
