As in general the food offer for skiers is very limited and unvaried - Panorama is a good choice for lunch. Decent flamkuchen, shnitzels and burgers, and as it is a bit off track (not directly on the slope, but 20m of) - much less crowded than other places in the ski area

Restaurant Lumme is part of the Gasthaus Lumme in Winterberg-Zueschen, a village, 5 kilometers to the south of Winterberg Town. The Gasthaus/Restaurant is on the right hand side of the main street of Zueschen, when you enter the village, coming from Winterberg. Parking is available in front of the building. i am sorry to be this outspoken, but the experience in Restaurant Lumme diverged substantially from the tradition of German "Gute Buergerliche Kueche" (Well cooked traditional German fare), which you normally can find in a randomly chosen "Gasthof" in any German village or town. The service of the staff was terrible slow, despite the fact we were the only party in the restaurant. (I think there were two tables occupied in the bar area of the restaurant). Furthermore, the food gave the impression of processed ingredients and meat and fish taken from the deep freezer, culminating in the breaded fish fillet my wife ordered, being stone cold, even still a bit frozen, on the inside. Complaining was a problem, because the staff remained hidden during the meal, they did not even put in an appearance for the traditional question if "everything is satisfactory". On the positive side, the amount of my wife's main course was deleted from the bill by a person somewhat higher in the hierarchy of the restaurant, when the complaint reached him at last, but of course we would gladly have paid for a well cooked course. The best advice I can give is to ignore Restaurant Lumme when in Winterberg-Zueschen and proceed to an alternative "Gasthof" or restaurant; luckily there is plenty of them this village and far better.

The best restaurant in this area. High quality food with a nice individual touch to classical dishes â for example nice mushroom schnitzels. The service is also very nice and the ambiance.

First: you need to reserve a table or to be there early (17:30) to get a table. Once you have a place then you can enjoy very delicious and traditional food with modern touch. We ordered "Reibekuchen" with cream and bacon, another which chicken and mushroom souce. A Mediterranean burger, steak (perfect backed) and chicken nuggets for the little one finish the list. Everything was perfect.

Restaurant Muehlengrund is part of Hotel Muehlengrund in Winterberg-Zueschen, a village 5 kilometers south of Winterberg Town. You find Hotel-Restaurant Muehlengrund on the right hand side of the main road, when you have entered Winterberg-Zueschen from the north, coming from Winterberg Town. The Hotel-Restaurant is at the far end of the village, next to a hamburger and sausage stand, which has a railway car appearance. When you have found the restaurant, parking can be in front of the hotel or the hamburger stand, or behind the hotel. Restaurant Muehlengrund serves food in the best German tradition, the "Gute Buergerliche Kueche" (Well cooked German traditional food) with a twist, the twist is the creativity the chef has put into the menu, rendering delicious meat and fish dishes. We were served initially by, I assume, the "mother of the house", who was a bit aloof, but the actual serving was taken over by a young woman, who was not only very skillful en efficient, but made you feel at home without being overly chatty. One of the best waitresses I have ever encountered. We were so enthusiastic about this restaurant, that we visited again for dinner two days later. (We were staying in a holiday home in Winterberg-Zueschen for the long Pentecost weekend) Actually, the owner of the house had recommended Muehlengrund. How right he was!

Wir sind seit 1988 mehr oder weniger Stammkunden. Früher noch als Touristen, heute mittlerweile als Bewohner von Medebach.Die Speisekarte ist reichhaltig und bisher gab es noch kein Gericht, welches NICHT in Ordnung war.Traumhaft früher > seine Elsässer Knoblauchsuppe im Brotteich > aber dann war man schon satt.

Tijdens ons weekend in Zuschen, na het raadplegen van TripAdvisor, hier wezen eten. Aanrader! Vriendelijk en leuk personeel, lekker eten en een gezellige locatie. Vanaf ons hotel al lopend naar Zum Dorfkrug gegaan, en dat bracht ons door de leuke straatjes van Zuschen.

If you want something other than a wurst or schnitzel this is a very good option. Bit more contemporary but in a lovely old style Sauerland building. Great wine selection which much to our surprise is a hard find in Winterberg. The mostly got everything down, but the vegetarian option, that was a bit plain.

Vielleicht überrascht das Restaurant weniger mit kulinarischer Raffinesse, dafür aber mit solider, gut und schmackhaft zubereiteter regionaler Küche. Im kleinen Ãrtchen Braunshausen, einem Ortsteil von Hallenberg, gelegen lädt das Hotel, wie das Restaurant gastfreundlich zum Verweilen ein. Wer hätte dieses kleine Juwel an dieser Stelle vermutet?
