My wife, brother, and sister-in-law were visiting nearby Barth at the site of Stalag Luft One where my father was a POW for nine months during WWII. We decided to go to Zingst for dinner and were looking for a good seafood restaurant and checked Trip Advisor which we always do when out of town. We stopped at Skipper which had good reviews and both inside and outside seating. We got there about 6:30 and went inside and saw the greeter and told her we had a party of 4. She just said "NO!" in a very rude voice. She did not offer any other explanation or when seats would become available. There were available tables we could see both inside and outside the restaurant. We were all shocked by her bluntness. We were not sure if the treatment we received was because we were speaking english rather than german. In any event it left a bad taste in our mouths and we went back to Barth where we did enjoy a very nice seafood dinner. I have writeen over 130 reviews on TripAdvisor and have rarely given a bad review of a restaurant, and certainly never given a review with only 1/5 but this restaurant is certainly deserving of this rating.

We had a great time at Kranichhaus. Very friendly service, good food, very moderate pricing - concidering the quality and the location right at the harbor front with a great view. It was not immediately obvious to us, that the ponton place down the terrace was part of the restaurant but it is. Definitly try to secure one of the tables down there.

Ich empfinde das Lokal als überwertet. Service freundlich und schönes Ambiente. Kleine Karte mit eigentlich schönen Gerichten. Vorspeise Rindercarpaccio: Sicher nicht selbst geschnitten ( alle Scheiben kreisrund und gleich gross - fertig gekauft ! ) Extrem dünn und eine kleine Portion. Geschmacklich neutral. Hauptspeise: Rosa gebratene Ente: Leider nicht rosa, sonder komplett durch - teils hart. Der Rosenkohl als Beilage war gut - eine Art Kloà in Scheiben geschnitten und gebraten, war ok aber ohne Sauce schmeckt das eher neutral. Fisch: Geschmacklich ok, aber drüber ( nicht mehr glasig, eher trocken ). Handwerklich noch Luft nach oben, vor allem bei den Preisen.

Wir waren hier zum Mittagessen. Einmal das Schnitzel und einmal den Backfisch.Beides superlecker. Bratkartoffeln und Remoulade hausgemacht. Bedienung sehr freundlich und superfix Absolut zu empfehlen, es gibt von Montag bis Freitag jeweils drei Gerichte zur Auswahl.

Ein Restaurant mit Anspruch auf Mehrâ¦aber der Weg nach Oben ist Steinig. So der Ausblick wunderbar und beruhigen Ambiente⦠die Pfifferlingssuppe fehlte etwas der Pep aber das wurde wieder weggemacht vom Spanferkel und Ochsenbäckchen und einem fruchtigen WeiÃweinâ¦aber wir hätten auch gerne noch ein Dessert egal was genommenen aber leider war das Personal etwas überfordert mit so vielen Gästen oder zu wenig Personal das wir es ausfallen lassen musstenâ¦Schade trotzdem guter Service mit Luft nach Oben⦠bitte beim nächsten mal besser

On this great week of August, it is not easy to find a good terrasse with a good food.The waitress gave us quickly a good table in the edge of the pedestrian street.Even if our German is quite limited, she understood quickly what we liked and we can confirm that it was tasteful.We saw that the place was well rated in TA, and can confirm the quality. Of course, we always dream about originale cuisine to get away from the local standards, but this is asking a lot for the area,Enjoy the friendly atmosphère under a great blue sky!F.

Food was ok, service was a little slow. I had the seafood soup, tasted very much like tomato soup with some seafood thrown in. Kids had the schnitzel and burger and they were much better. We should have made reservations, apparently no seats inside, so we sat outside. We waited 20min for the menus because there were no menus left. Then it started to rain and was offered seats inside, and there were lots of free tables. But overall ok.

Maritim einigerichtetes Ausflugslokal mit zwei Innenräumen und einer AuÃenterrasse am alten Hafen in Bodstedt. Dort fahren auch die Fährverkehrboote mit Fahrradtransport ab, so dass man hier auch gut als Zwischenstopp essen kann. Man kann drauÃen nett mit Blick auf den Hafen sitzen, allerdings ohne Sitzauflagen und an blanken Tischen. Die sanitären Anlagen waren sauber. Die Fischgerichte (Heringsvariationen, Fischsuppe) waren gut, der Räucherlachs mit Kartoffelpuffer war dunkel und fettig. Der Service leider auch schleppend und nicht wirklich engagiert, zu einem zweiten Getränk kamen wir nicht.

Arrrived on a Saturday night without a reservation and we were made welcome and asked to wait for a few minutes for a table to become available.Given a table that would seat 5 so invited another couple who wanted a table to join us.Excellent Dorsch with good portion size.Would happily eat there again.Good evening.
