Reviews on Gastropub food in Tauranga, North Island, New Zealand. The lush parks and golden beaches of Tauranga make it a popular destination for outdoorsy folks and watersports lovers. Here on New Zealand’s North Island, you’ll find a variety of opportunities for surfing, white water rafting, kiteboarding, hiking and golfing. Imbibe Restaurant & Bar, located close to Bayfair Shopping Mall and just a few minutes stroll to the beach, is one of the Bay of Plenty's top dining venues, offering an extensive menu and Stone Grill dining. Pop in on Thursdays and Fridays after work and
We have eaten here several times and their Friday special of fish, chips and salad with a glass of wine is only $20 and represents excellent value. Tuesday's 2 for 1 deal is also great value. Food and service cannot be faulted but unfortunately the noise level is deafening

We continue to return to what we refer to as "our local". Over the past months we have enjoyed lunches and dinners, as a couple and with friends. The service is always friendly, helpful and the drinks are always delivered quickly. The food is well presented, tasty and don't think we have ever had a bad dish. We will continue to return and appreciate the fact that specials are added to the normal menu, leading to variety. The meals are also well priced and plenty of options on the menu.

We are a cafe, restaurant, tapas bar & events venue. We want you to feel at home and to be able to pop by no matter what the time is (if itâs between 8am-1am â we need sleep, too). Grab your morning coffee, get lunch, have dinner with us or party with you
What an amazing restaurant! The decorations are really imaginative and next level, good music, chill vibes and pleasant staff. Itâs just a shame about the tapas. Perhaps the regular menu is nice but we didnât try it (apart from the kids chicken and rice which ended up being the nicest dish we tried). The tapas is fairly sub par, average at best and overly dry at worst. Seems like a nice place to go for drinks.

Arrived here mid week for lunch, without reservations, and found service and food consistently good. I had chicken sandwich/burger and partner had a brisket burger that was currently on special. Food was good, didnât have to wait too long and service was good. Menu has good choices and we find it well worth trying for lunch or dinner. Will be returning!
