During the summer months the Chiemsee gets really overcrowded and the traffic and hordes of people can be overwhelming. Schlosswirtschaft in the tiny village of Wildenwartis a pleasant diversion. Just a few minutes from the lake lies a cute biergarten and a very attractive restaurant. The menu isn't large but everyone can find something to their liking.The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the food and the attention to detail.

Very nice beer-garden, bit outside the centre. They have good draft beer, more sorts, and simple but tasty food that goes well with your thirst. Garden is underneath threes, children have enough equipment to play and staff is efficient. The place to go at a sunny afternoon. You can complete the day by going to the very good adjacent restaurant.

We have enjoyed our lunches/dinners here for at least 20 years. The menu offers many choices of what I would call typical Bavarian fare. I had roasted Schweinhaxe today and it was really good. Lots of different styles of beers offered from their brewery.

Really nice Palace for good local food (even a fine choice for veggies) and cool, delicious beer. The location appears smaller in the Outsider, but there several huge bavarian.style rooms to choose from and also the balcony and the beautiful little beergarden!!!

The restaurant was full, full, full on this bank holiday when we entered at 1 pm. We were greeted nicely by the owner and then guided by a young lady to one of the "Stuben" where we had to wait for free seats, but only a short time.Great atmosphere, nice decoration that really matches and goes through the whole interior. Everywhere you find a deer. On the curtain, the porcelain, on the table, the lamps...Food was good, but my expectation was a little higher and the service could have been a little more friendlier, even though it was full, full, full of people!
