My brother lives nearby so, when visiting the area, he took me and my wife there for Sunday lunch. One of the best Sunday roasts I've had - the roast beef. Excellent food. Nice ambiance; polite and attentive staff; reasonably priced; and a lovely location. Would definitely recommend and would go back when next in the area.

I cannot in any way fault this meal. Not only superbly presented but without doubt one of the finest meals I have enjoyed. Advertised hours are from midday. After a 4-mile walk, my daughter and I planned to have lunch and arrived at 1.15pm. Pub was closed. Also, called the Red Lion half a dozen times the day before to check opening hours and to book for Valentines. Contact number is not in use. All in all, an absolute shambles.

Visited on a Tuesday evening, didn't have a booking but was seated straight away. There is a large selection of sprites and a good choice of beers. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Lots of choice on the menu and different cuts of meat.The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. We will 100% be going back.
