Went here because of good reviews. Itâs a quirky friendly different style of place. Served terrible wine and mediocre beer while giving the impression of being knowledgeable. Only bad experience in Lucca. Even back street tiny cafes served delicious chilled wine. Too many other good places to visit. Not going back. Dear customer,We would like to apologize for your bad experience, however I clearly remember you and your attitude since the time you came in on Saturday.You just classified as a bad wine, one of the most remarkable Rose in Lucca:- Fattoria al Dotto, Carignano, Lucca 2017You can't also classify an American IPA as "mediocre beer" while you even didn't read who's the producer:- Founder's Session Ale. This restaurant/cafe was close to our hotel and we had lunch there four times,it was so good. It is very popular with young local Italians and gets very busy,both at lunchtimes and in the evenings, but we always managed to find a table on the terrace. You can order from a vast list of fresh,healthy ingredients to make your own choice of salads, panninis, pastas and smoothies and the prices are extremely reasonable. The young staff are welcoming and helpful. it's a pity there aren't more places like this in England-we would all be much healthier!Thank you very much for your feedback. Most of the times our raw materials come from our land. We favor Km0 products and the hard work of our Lucca farmers. We look forward to see you soon and to let you taste our products.Contantoamore

Finally, a truly great burger in Lucca! Quality ingredients, perfectly cooked, reasonably priced with no cover charge. Fries are included, made with fresh potatoes and served with house-made mayo. We have eaten here on two occasions and the consistency of product and presentation is remarkable. A complimentary appetizer of freshly made tortilla chips and guacamole was a great start. Several craft beers to choose from. The fish and chips were delicious, perfectly crisp and not at all greasy. A strawberry cheesecake dessert was yummy. Mixed drinks served at nearby tables looked appetizing. Service is friendly and efficient, the interior is modern yet warm, and there is a great view of Luccaâs beautiful wall. This is a terrific addition to the historic center restaurant scene! Easy to find: just follow the wall to the Via Francigena Museum (and drop down) or go via the Piazza San Francesco and walk East toward the Lucca Italian School.
