It's is called 'werf' (yard) as the interior is a bit yard-like. For 20 years the menu has been the same. They serve you decent food, price-quality wise ok. Don't expect anything special. My kids love the place, especially the 'meatballs with tomato soup' and the hot chocolate. My favorite dessert is the 'speculosisu'. Same as the Italian tiramisu but with a Belgian twist: they use 'speculoos'-cookies instead of 'boudoirs'.During summer time, they have a nice terrace.A pity you can't pay by card, only cash (which tax-wise, makes me a bit suspicious ;-))

We recently visited this restaurant for the first time. It clearly is one of the better restaurants in the area. Inside, the setting is very intimate and enjoyable. We haven't been outside, but the garden looked like an extremely pleasant location for a reception or event. We took the 'Ballade des Saveurs' menu, which was of high quality and well-presented, and included a number of nice surprises, such as an appetiser with boudin noir. Accompanying wines fitted really well (big glasses, perhaps even too big).

Me and my family have returned twice to L Cafe since my last review. I can only say: AMAZING!! The first visit, maybe good luck. After 3 visits THE SAME REVIEW!!!!!!!Real genuine Belgian cuisine, served with a smile and lots ok kindnes. The quality of the food is absolutely excellent.Next week I will celebrate my birthday in L Cafe!!!
