Not many people outside the locals know about this gem, a short drive from the resorts on the south. Here you have all the great beers of the world, great food, friendly service and a terrific cosy pub atmosphere with music. Feels like an Irish bar in the US or the U.K., and in a good way!! Open from 7pm and well worth a visit.

We were lucky enough to be taken to this restaurant by Mase from Handmade Tours - could easily have missed it ourselves. Truly authentic and run by a husband and wife who clearly take great pride in what they do. Marcos is front of house organising the service and his waiters are very efficient. The quality of the food itself is down to his wife and we wish to thank them both for such a wonderful experience (and to Handmade Tours for taking us there!)

Waiter was very friendly and the bread with allioli, the vegetables from the oven (++) and the rabbit was good but when we had to pay, the waiter asked 3 euro for the bread (we didn't asked for that) and he asked 12,5 euro!!! for the vegetables (he just asked before if we would like vegetables with the rabbit?)If you want some tricks for cheating you have to go the professional waiter cheater of el refugio!

What an amazing find! A little bit off the beaten track but well worth the effort. Fantastic attention to detail, quality ingredients and knowledgeable staff. The burgers are great (recommend El ahumado) and the presentation gives it a special touch. The craft beers are all from Gran Canaria, are excellent and carefully paired with the burgers. A nice variety of sides available too, we tried the aubergine croquettes and the arancini, both great. Highly recommend a visit.

Our friends brought us to this small but cozy place. It was really nice to have such a good variety of beers, proffesional service and delicious food. We tried different dishes, such us different types of homemade croquettes and vegetable crispy tempura, and it wasn't oily, what was really surprising for us, we haven't tried any like that one.They also had a wide variety of music, such as Mark Knopfler !!The owners were very friendly and the man could speak a little bit of english :) I will definitely recommend it !!Thank you very much Gabriela for valorating our sishes and music. It´s a pleasure for us to know that you have enjoyed your stay with us!!
